The Thing is a science fiction film, directed by John Carpenter. It was released to the cinemas in the USA on 25 June 1982.
It is based on the 1938 John W. Campbell Jr. novella Who Goes There?, and is also a remake of the 1951 film The Thing from Another World.[1]
