Teddy Scholten was a Dutch pop/folk singer who achieved the majority of her success in the 1950s. She was also one of the first Dutch singers to perform in the United States.
She was selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1959 in Cannes and gave it its second victory of the decade.
She made several appearances on Dutch television in the 1960s and presented the Dutch Eurovision pre-selection in 1965 and 1966.
She died on 8 April 2010 at the age of 83.
