Erin (原住者[エリン], Erin) is the seventh episode of the Ultramarine Magmell anime.
Synopsis[]
When Emilia goes missing inside Magmell, her father asks for Inyo’s help. They reach her last location, but a hostile native threatens their rescue.
Summary[]
Emilia and Owens head towards Magmell's 2nd Ward, Octagon of Evil. Owens assures Emilia they are safe in Sky Whale II helicopter, but soon they get attacked by frogs spitting rocks and a strange human stretches its arm and takes down the helicopter.
Zero was enjoying some marshmallows as she brought quite a few boxes, since they were on sale. She explains since they don't have money, they will have to eat them for lunch and dinner too. Chester, Emilia's father, visits them and explains that Emilia got lost in the Octagon of Evil.
Inyo realizes she isn't just lost and Chester explains a mysterious creature took the helicopter down. Inyo comments the price will be double since last time, as they had assumed that they knew everything about Magmell and ventured there again despite the fact that Inyo had warned them.
After Chester comments that Inyo is very similar to Shuin and wonders how he is doing, but Inyo doesn't know and comments that the price is tripled now. Chester accepts, but Zero also forces Chester to eat a full bowl of marshmallows as part of the deal.
Inyo and Chester head towards Magmell, Emilia and Owens receive backup, but the helicopters are all completely destroyed by the mysterious creature. Zero confirms to Inyo's suspicion that its indeed Erin, the indigenous people of Magmell.
Owen's men try to attack Erin, but it easily destroys their weapons. Inyo explains that it doesn't like weapons and it would attack if you carry one. As Erin targets Inyo's helicopter, he realizes that Chester is carrying a gun and they jump out as Erin destroys their helicopter.
Erin is the primitive tribe of Magmell, but they are largerly unknown as a large fog is covering them up. Those who know Magmell know them and their overwhelming and terrifying powers. More than 30 different species of Erins have been encountered, each with unique abilities: turning into a giant, walking in the sky, throw lightning, and emit poison. While there are different types, they all share two things in common: they look like humans and they possess equal or higher level of intelligence than humans.
Inyo faces the Erin, who realizes he is a Lachter. He attacks Inyo and seemingly enjoys his fight, but even though its fast, it is no match for Inyo who seemingly kills the Erin. Emilia tries to explain to Inyo that the Erin wasn't an enemy, but Inyo tells her he already knew.
Inyo reveals that he hit the Erin with marshmallows and as the Erin tries them, he finds them delicious. Some of the frogs join in too and also like the marshmallows. The Erin explains that he just wants to live a peaceful life and Inyo promises they won't return ever again. Inyo tells Chestar that if they return, not only the Erin will be their enemy, but he as well.
Chestar agrees to not return, but feels he needs to reward Inyo with something more than just the reward money. Inyo tells him to replace his helicopter and some food other than marshmallows. The frogs and Zero disagree as they find the marshmallows delicious, but Chester agrees that he can live without marshmallows for a while.
