Technical Update: April 1, 2014

Here are the latest technical updates at Wikia. Keep in mind that our system updates happen every Wednesday, so we're posting this on a Tuesday to give you advance notice. Also note that we change hundreds of tiny details every week, so these are just the highlights.

Major Bugs Fixed

• The gallery tool was missing the options to modify and reorder media.
• Recent chat history was not being shown when entering chat.

Notable Changes

Detailed CSS updates can be found at http://report.wikia.net - the diffs show changes to .css, .scss, .tmpl.php, .html, .sass and .mustache files in Wikia's codebase.

• The Forum's 'related discussions' module will no longer display at the end of articles if no related discussions exist. Thanks to the Volunteer Developers for this change.
• CTRL/Command-clicking on media will now open the image's link, rather than still opening the lightbox. (For example, CTRL+click on an image on Special:NewFiles will open the image's File page.)
• Embedding of Youku videos is now supported.

Select Known Issues

• We are investigating reports of users being randomly, temporarily logged out from their accounts. Please let us know if you are experiencing this issue.
