On June 2, 2014, 2 girls (both 12) attempted to viciously kill their one friend. She is currently in stable condition, but will have some permanent scars. What was their motive? They say a fictional character by the name of the Slender Man off of Creepypasta Wiki inspired them, they planned on killing her and running away to "his mansion." If convicted, they could receive adult charges of attempted homicide.
The recent assault has caused a major backlash against the community. A user on Wikia (who's name I won't say for privacy concerns) has said "Shut the wiki down. More will come from this." However, many are defending the site, an administrator wrote "We are a literature wiki, not a satanic cult.." What's your take on this.
