Technical Update: May 25, 2015

Though it may be Memorial Day in the US, and Spring Bank Holiday in the UK, Wikia never sleeps - a release will still be going live tomorrow.

Here are the latest technical updates at Wikia. Keep in mind that our system updates happen every Tuesday and Thursday - today's notes are for tomorrow's site update. Also note that we change hundreds of tiny details every week, so these are just the highlights.

Major Bugs Fixed

Detailed CSS updates can be found at http://report.wikia.net - the diffs show changes to .css, .scss, .tmpl.php, .html, .sass and .mustache files in Wikia's codebase.

• An issue that could cause welcome messages to fail to come from the admin with the most recent edits will be fixed.
• A situation that could trigger 'slow script' warnings on particularly long pages will be fixed.
• A misconfiguration that caused login issues on a couple of communities has been solved. This fix is already live.
