Community Central

Hello all!

I am excited to announce an evolution in how fans explore their favorite fictional worlds here on Fandom: Universe Pages. These dynamic hubs are designed to be the ultimate entry point for discovering the rich lore, characters, and stories of your favorite IPs.

Evolving from FanCentral[]

You might remember our previous personalized hubs called FanCentral. While FanCentral offered a personalized experience, we saw an opportunity to create something more impactful for both fans and communities. Universe Pages build upon the foundation of FanCentral, transforming them into IP-centric hubs that provide a comprehensive overview of everything a fictional universe has to offer.

Your Wiki's New Friend[]

Now, I know what you might be thinking: "Are Universe Pages here to replace wikis?" Absolutely not. In fact, Universe Pages are designed to complement and enhance your wikis, acting as a gateway to the depth and detail you've meticulously curated. Think of them as the introduction, sparking curiosity and driving fans deeper into the world you've built on your wiki. Universe Pages are optimized to rank highly in search results, specifically for more general keyword searches. This increased visibility will drive more traffic to your wikis, where they can engage with your in-depth content and passionate community. Our goal is to continue to help wikis rank high.

Here are a few examples of Universe Pages:

A Universe of Possibilities[]

We are just getting started! Pages that were originally under the FanCentral format have been redesigned as Universe Pages, but we are still working on connecting IPs and related content, so everything on a page may not be clickable yet. Please check out the Help page for more information. Also, if you see anything on a Universe Page that isn’t correct, please reach out to our Support team.

Hi there! I'm Jenny, one of the Community Managers on the Safety team here at Fandom. I'm a big fan of anime (check out my profile to see what series I'm into) and Japanese comedians/owarai. I also like going to Starbucks and pretending I'm cool with my iced chai latte.
