Hello again! You've (hopefully?) seen me quite a bit here talk about the experiments we have been doing with a Mobile Drawer. (If not, please check out these blogs: Experiment Announcement: Mobile Drawer, Experiment Announcement: Mobile Drawer Variations, & Experiment Announcement: Mobile Drawer - Persistent User Setting)

We are taking this idea to desktop to see if we can create a similar experience for logged out desktop users with a first version of a Desktop Drawer. Details below!

Experiment Name: Desktop Drawer

Test Launch: Thursday, August 8

Test Closes: 2 weeks

Will Be Tested On: 3% of logged out users

Hypothesis: We are still analyzing results from multiple experiments with the mobile drawer. However, we have seen positive results in continuing engagement for users who would normally only visit one page then leave, we believe a similar drawer for desktop will lead to a similar experience.

Variants: We will only be running one version of the Desktop Drawer for this experiment.
