It is with immense pleasure that I get to announce we are publishing our very first video game! The game is called UnderMine and was developed by Thorium Entertainment. UnderMine is an action-adventure roguelike with RPG elements. If you enjoy games like The Binding of Isaac, The Legend of Zelda, Dead Cells, Rogue Legacy, Moonlighter, and Enter The Gungeon, you are going to LOVE UnderMine.
What is UnderMine?
Here’s how the team from Thorium describes UnderMine:
How many genres can one game belong to? We would have preferred all of them, but you’ll just have to settle for most of them. UnderMine stirs a delicious pot of genre soup, taking only the highest quality ingredients from each. We took the procedurally generated madness of the craziest rogue-likes (Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, etc.), combined that with the exploration and discovery of classic action-adventures (The Legend of Zelda, Hyper Light Drifter, etc.), and topped it off with some light RPG progression and story (Rogue Legacy.)
Does that sound interesting to you? Check out a trailer!

Why are we getting into publishing?
Publishing a game is something that folks in the Growth Org have wanted to do for years now, but it was important that we took this step with the right game and developer. We believe that UnderMine is this game, and Thorium is this partner. I met the Thorium devs at the PAX East Indie Megabooth this spring and quickly identified UnderMine as the right opportunity for Fandom’s inaugural published game.
Given our experience within the gaming industry, our deep understanding of this particular subgenre (thanks to years of hosting wikis for roguelikes!), and our vast brand reach, we are in an ideal position to help bring this fantastic game to market successfully.
Indie games hold a very special place in our hearts. We are always sad when high-quality games from indie developers do not receive the broader appreciation they deserve. With UnderMine, we will demonstrate how our reach and experience can be leveraged to help a great team making a great game reach a larger audience. We look forward to UnderMine’s success and future game publishing opportunities.
When can I play UnderMine?
UnderMine is releasing into Steam Early Access on August 20th, with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch releases in 2020.
As we get closer to the 20th, keep your eyes peeled on the the UnderMine Official Wiki, Fandom Twitter account, the Gamepedia Twitter account, the UnderMine Twitter account, and the Gamepedia Twitch account for more news and content from UnderMine!
