- [Tweak] Incoming improvement to Desktop Drawer Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) for wide viewports
Hello, hello, hello, you lovely people! Welcome to the middle of October and the second Technical Update blog this month! It'll be the second of three blogs this month in which I'll show a selection of user-facing bugs, releases, and other relevant notes for you about changes to the platform. Per usual, this blog is announced on this wiki to reach everyone who's been active here in any form in the past 90 days. This is also a perfect time for you to leave a comment if you have some feedback to share or a bug to report.
Notable Change[]
My Fandom page on Desktop and Mobile view
With progress tracking on Interactive Maps and tables a hot topic, the need to have a central page grouping all this progress in the same location grew. That's why My Fandom was created, to be a home base for all your progress and engagement activity. While the current functionality of the page is limited to showing your progress tracking on Interactive Maps, tables, and your general browsing history, we're excited to see how you use it, what's still missing, and to keep tweaking and adding as we go. So that is our main question to you: what other utility would you like to see on My Fandom? Let us know! Read more about My Fandom: your progress and engagement activity

- [Tweak] Improve Desktop Drawer Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) for wide viewports: Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) is a metric that quantifies the visual stability of a webpage. The Desktop Drawer pushes the page content when it auto opens so it doesn't overlap the content. To improve the negatively affected CLS score by this behavior, the team is working on adding a new breakpoint for which the article content does not need to be pushed at all.
That's it for the issue! Per usual, if you encounter something that feels off about the platform, please report it by sending in a bug report or your feedback, reach out to your Community Manager, contact the Product Support Owner on their Wall/talk page, or just simply sound off in the comments here. Remember to include a link to where you're experiencing the issue, a screenshot if it is something visible, as well as steps to reproduce your issue. As always, thank you for helping us by continuing to communicate. Happy editing, everyone!
