Editor Stories: Fandom Celebrates Pride With Itsbartbytheway

Hello hello hello everyone!

To continue our Pride Month celebration, I’m super excited to kick off our blog series highlighting creators, editors, and Fandom Staff in the LGBTQIA+ community. All month long, we’ll be sharing the stories and lived experiences of passionate folks who embrace authenticity and promote inclusivity in everything that they do. Through our theme of “Looking Back and Moving Forward”, we are focusing on the importance of understanding where we came from in order to get where we need to be. Learning and empathizing with queer stories is a powerful step to progressing toward a world of acceptance for all, so I encourage everyone to open up their minds and their hearts to understanding the unique journeys of people diffe…

Hello, hello, hello everybody!

I am back, back, back again to wish you all a very happy Pride Month! Say it loud and say it proud! Even louder for the people in the back! We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re ready to make it clear. Featuring Final Girls on the Final Day of Women's History Month

Hey everyone!

We've had an incredible time celebrating Women's History Month with you as we embrace equity through the lens of women, femme-identifying and non-binary people building the “tables” in industries where they often do not have a seat. We hope you've been enjoying our programming this month, but wait... there's one final thing. On this final day of Women's History Month, we present to you a thematically appropriate final blog - Final Girls: The Feature.

Did you know that men are seen and heard twice as often as women in film? It's a shocking statistic, but with one major exception: horror. It is the only genre where women appear and speak as much as men. For decades, horror films have been revolutionizing the way women are are vie…

End of Year Reflection: Mandy's Favorite Things of 2022

Hello friends! My name is Mandy and I’m the Senior Community Manager for Entertainment on Fandom’s Community Experience Team. I lead a team of fantastic Wiki Reps who you may know and love - Chris, Kylara, Lostris, and Miller (who just joined this year!) - to help provide top Movies, TV, Books, Music, and Lifestyle communities with the best possible experiences and support on our platform.

Reflecting back on 2022, it has overall been a really exciting year here at Fandom. I got to work on so many incredible things that I’m proud of, like our first full calendar year of DEI programming, which has been so well-received thanks to all of you. There were plenty of great campaigns throughout the year, but the Women’s History Month video in partic…

Celebrate Las Voces of the Hispanic Community

Hola everyone!

It’s certainly been an exciting and eventful Hispanic Heritage Month celebration here at Fandom. The Community Team has been honoring and amplifying the voices of the Hispanic community all month long, but in case you missed it, here’s a recap: we kicked things off with an Interactive Map showcasing various IPs and talent from a variety of Hispanic countries. We posted a series of blogs sharing the stories of Hispanic community members who create inclusive spaces on and off the Fandom platform. We hosted a roundtable on Discord today to discuss beloved games, movies, and TV shows that celebrate the Hispanic diaspora. And last but not least, we have one final piece to share with you all!

We wanted to wrap up the month with a sp…
