To administrators everywhere: read this
This blog post is recommended etiquette for administrators on any wiki.
- Don't ban users forever the first time they break the rules. Warn them first.
- If they continue to break the rules, then you can ban them. Here are some recommendations for how long to ban them for:
- Minor offense: 1 to 24 hours for first offense
- Vandalism: 24 hours to 1 week for first offense
- Posting pornographic images: 1 year for first offense (even porn-posters can change)
- Edit warring: 24 hours to 1 month
- Violating FANDOM's Terms of Use: infinite
- Other violation of rules: depends
- Calmly resolve any conflicts you may have with the user.

The new list of wikis
Hello! Since the admins on The Wiki Wiki have been inactive for some time, I'd like to announce a new list of wikis! It's called the Wiki Gazetteer, and it'll list not only every wiki on Fandom, but every wiki on every wikifarm! If you want to help, the wiki is right here. I do have some rules on there:
- No harassing any users or vandalizing pages.
- Your wiki's main purpose cannot be for pornography.
- The wiki is not a place for hosting your website, unless your website is a wiki.
