Jieyang, previously a Community Manager for gaming wikis, is now working as a Partnerships Manager on Fandom's Community Gaming team!

Hi, everyone! We’re back with another installment in the Community Partnerships blog series -- our regular update focused on sharing recent wins regarding collabs that bring content partners together with Fandom wiki communities. Today, we’d like to share the latest highlights from the Gaming Partnerships team, who focus on growing relationships with game publishers and developers that benefit Fandom's editor community, as well as introduce a new member of the partnerships crew! Without further ado, I'll turn things over to Jieyang, Tots, and Ran for the latest:

Introducing our newest Partnerships Manager[]

You may recognize Jieyang from gaming wikis across the platform, which he had been supporting as Senior Community Manager since 2022. We're thrilled to have him move into a new role as Community Partnerships Manager, Gaming to support our efforts to bring partnership opportunities to gaming wikis. Here's a bit from Jieyang in his own words:

JIEYANG: Hey everyone, I’m new to the Partnerships team! Some of you might remember me previously as Community Manager for gaming wikis. It’s been a really interesting and fun time navigating this new role in the world of partnerships. I’m proud to be here and you’ll be hearing more from me in the future!
One of the most exciting things about partnerships is connecting our wiki communities with the publishers and studios of their beloved games. I know very well how passionate our Fandom editors are and the immense work they put into their wikis. Being able to create that link and give back to the community is one of our top priorities.
And of course, we also work with partners to spruce up their wikis and get them ready for the next big thing. Here’s an example:
Cozy Grove- Camp Spirit

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, the sequel to Spry Fox’s original Cozy Grove, is—just like its namesake—a very cozy life simulation game. Go scavenging. Craft some items. Help some very cute bear spirits pass on to the afterlife. You can do it all one cozy day at a time, because one of the coolest things about the game is that it takes place in real-time! Who knows what fun new things will come up tomorrow? If you’re looking for a chill (or perhaps… cozy?) game to unwind with, it might just be the game for you. Oh, and check out the Cozy Grove Wiki if you decide to jump in!

Let's hear from the rest of the gaming partnerships team for even more examples!

New Gaming Partnerships[]

Black Myth: Wukong[]

Black Myth- Wukong

TOTS: Black Myth: Wukong is an exhilarating debut that has captured the attention of gamers worldwide, but particularly in its home country of China. Created using UE5 Black Myth is a visual feast that not only looks as good as anything on the market, but performs well to boot. This is based on the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West” and features an action combat system that feels like something between a Soulsborne and Devil May Cry. Game Science studio found great success with the release of over 8 million in sales, a 2.4 million player peak on Steam, and now holds the #2 most-played game ever on Steam. We had the opportunity to work directly with the community and developers on the wiki’s design and pre-launch preparation. The Black Myth: Wukong Wiki is doing great and growing by tens of thousands a day.

Kunitsu-Gami[]

Kunitsu

RAN: Hailed as an "indie darling” from Capcom, Kunitsu-Gami is a refreshing new title that blends in multiple gameplay elements, from strategy to hack-and-slash. As soon as the game starts, you can find deep Japanese cultural influences within - the ceremonial garb, traditional dancing, and musical choices are immediately absorbing, and it feels like playing a piece of Japanese folklore. As you dive into the game, we hope that our Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Wiki in collaboration with Capcom will help take you through the lore, the gameplay, and style that makes this title so special and one of a kind.

Soulmask[]

Soulmask

TOTS: Soulmask is an enthralling survival-crafting-sim-management game. As the sole survivor of a tribal war, players escape a sacrificial ritual and discover an ancient mask that grants them unique powers. The gameplay revolves around survival mechanics and the ability to recruit and synchronize consciousness with tribesmen, allowing players to possess and control them. Soulmask challenges players to balance resource management, combat, and exploration while unraveling the mysteries of the Soulmask and the civilizations that once thrived in this enigmatic land. Once again we got to work directly with the developers of the game in making the Soulmask Official Wiki. Our team pre-built over 700 content pages and an interactive map, all ready to go before the game’s launch!
