Rabbit! Tank! Best Match!

Last week, a sad day came. Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, that wonderful neon gamer-doctor of Justice, hung up his belt and made way for his successor. Yes, it is that time of year again, the changing of the guard as one Rider show bows out to give way to the new kid on the block for the fall season.

Needless to say, this new kid is an interesting one. For starters, this series is according to Toei, going back to "the roots of Kamen Rider". Next is the main hero himself, as he is a genius physicist who mixes something organic with something inorganic to create his forms. His main form has the powers of a rabbit's speed and jumping crossed with...of all things, the durability and strength of a tank! Rockets with pandas, lightbulbs with octopi, hedgehogs with flames. Its like the guys at PLEX, Blend Master and Bandai took a game of Word Jumble and did focus group tests to see which would be the most internet meme worthy.

Our story for this season is that ten years ago during a manned mission to Mars, astronauts found an alien object that would later be called the Pandora Box, which caused a disaster upon its return and study on Earth that split Japan into three districts by creating trio of "Skywalls". An evil organization called Faust wants the box's technology to develop and create powerful advanced weapons and a group of bioweapon creatures known as Smash are running amok and attacking the people.

It is up to an amnesiac physics genius named Sento Kiryu with the help of the Touto Institute of Advanced Matter Physics and his friends to become the hero and save the day as the Moonsault of Steel, Kamen Rider Build!

This series promises mysteries, action, adventure and most important of all...SCIENCE!

From the mixing of Full Bottles referencing chemistry, to Build's first Rider Kick having a projection of a scientific diagram to his finger gesture during his pose referencing Fleming's right hand rule, this series is going to potentially be unapologetic science geek candy mixed with superheroes and enough toys to fill any collector's wallet with moths where paper bills used to be. And that is a good thing, I have always defended this now 46 year old franchise since 2009 for always sticking to its guns in some areas and changing up everything else to stay fresh. This insanity is, just like Build's forms, an experiment, and I cannot wait to see the "chemical" reactions and impact it will have as we head into the franchise's 28th season.

So if you feel up for it, let's experiment and see how the The Laws of Victory will be decided!

Be the One~ Be the One! Alright! I won't throw away Earth's future!
