Who appears where matrices and reader's versions for Shakespeare plays
These line counts are derived from a text which treats a speech in prose as just one line irrespective of its length. This means that all counts here tend to be lower than those derived from a source such as the Moby Shakespeare which sets prose speeches in lines of roughly the same length as verse speeches. In some cases the counts here are unrealistically low.
