A SMARTSIG is a way of having a different signature on different Wikia.

How to use SMARTSIG[]

Put the following code in the signature box in Special:Preferences:

{{SUBST:#ifexist:User:USER NAME/sig.css|{{SUBST:User:USER NAME/sig.css}}|DEFAULT SIGNATURE}}

Replace 'USER NAME' with your user name and 'DEFAULT SIGNATURE' with a default signature that will be used if a signature hasn't been created for a certain wiki. If the default signature doesn't work with a |, use | instead.

If you want to create a custom signature on a wiki, just create it at Special:Mypage/sig.css on that wiki.

Please note that once you've set up SMARTSIG, you must log out and log back in again for it to work.

Customizing your signature[]

Before cluttering up wikis with bloated sigs, please read and keep the following advices in mind. Thanks.

It is going pretty fast to reach a length of more than 200 characters with HTML/wiki markups.
