We're a friendly community here; most of us are active on an individual wiki, and many of us are active on more than one.
If you're looking for help, a help wiki can be found here, and you're welcome to ask the community questions on the Community Central Forum. If you need assistance from a staff member, you can contact the Community Team using Special:Contact.
Stay informed of Wikia news and events by following the Staff Blog.
You can get live help from community members in our IRC channel. There are also channels for larger Wikia and their communities. Here you can socialize and get to know your community!

Spotlight Requests[]
Hi. I try to answer the spotlight requests about once a week. If you are waiting on a request you can speed things up by making sure your wiki meets all of the spotlight criteria, so when I do answer you will be approved quickly. You can check for uncategorized pages at Special:UncategorizedPages and stubs are pages shorter than about 300bytes in your Special:ShortPages list on your wiki. -- Wendy (talk) 01:30, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

Patroller vs. Rollback[]
Patrollers can mark new pages (from Special:NewPages) and diffs (from Special:RecentChanges) as "patrolled". Unpatrolled new pages will have a different background color in NewPages and unpatrolled diffs will usually have "!" before the page link in RecentChanges.
Rollback users have the ability to go the History of a page and roll back all the edits from the most recent editor to the previous editor. This function is almost always used for fighting spam and vandalism.

Hi there, thanks for your response on my talk page. I think if you'll check with wikia staff you'll find that whenever any bureaucrat feels they no longer wish to maintain a wiki and don't have any viable members who want to take over the wiki, you can request a wiki be deleted. I on the other hand have asked the members if they'd like to step forward to volunteering to run it, and if we get someone who's willing to undertake the effort and shows that they are an active participant on it, then I'm more than willing to turn it over to them. Otherwise as I clearly stated, it meets the criteria for removal as even the staff periodically clears old wiki's out that are not being maintained. Regardless of what either I or you think, if in fact it can't be done, I'm sure the wikia staff folks will be the first to let me know :) Thanks and take care. - On the contrary, Wikia generally only closes wikis that break the Terms of Use, and normally keeps wikis with any sort of content at all, even if there are no editors there -- RandomTime 06:33, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
- Well actually I'm happy to say our discussion is a mute point anyways as we have an extremely experienced individual who's stepped forward to take over those wikis. Which ultimately was the initial focus for the issue. Thanks for discussing this with me. Look forward to an even better wiki in the coming days.

Making the JS shut down if the wiki's stillg ot the module[]

&& version.length != 0
