Alison lives in Alberta, Canada, where she raises her two children who are rapidly approaching the young adult stage, much to her chagrin.
Her ever-faithful writing companion, Sadie, a beautiful docile cat with the saddest eyes you’ll ever see, passed away in 2015. She has since adopted the diabolical Xander, who has a gorgeous black coat that he wears around the clock. She enjoys teasing the cat, writing (of course), and hanging out with her kids.
She began writing at a young age, starting with short stories, moving on to poetry, and eventually participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and completing her first novel. Since then, she has produced several manuscripts of novel-length.
When she grows up, Alison hopes to be an expert in the field of fairy security. Her advice for writers, young and old, is to be brave in their work and never give up.
