In the case of a bot account, I don't want users posting messages on its wall as they won't be seen for some time. Besides using a sketchy method with templates and z-index, is there any way to do this?

I'm pretty sure it is, as long as it's redirected to the owner's talk page.

I mean, especially if it's for a bot. Rarely does someone need to message a bot.
Yeah, I'm fairly certain it is not a violation.
No javascript necessary.
^ brilliant idea.
This is magic.

THAT is the kind of solution I wanted. Flawless. Thank you!
Very nifty little trick, but that can also cause a world of problems if you make a typo while moving pages around...
Fun little example can be found in this old thread: we tried to move a main page into someone's blog space by renaming it, but made a typo during the renaming process. Now we've made Wikia think we've got a new user with a REALLY weird name (and we can't undo the page move).
452, have you noted any particular issues or technical quirks if someone wants to undo the Message Wall redirect afterwards?
With this, you can simply move to back out of the Message Wall namespace, or delete it using AjaxBatchDelete or equivalent API functions.
I just tested out the scenario you linked to, but I had no problem recovering the poorly named page.
See http://201405test.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Log for proof.
edit: it looks like you never resolved the problem - why don't you just move the page back out?
I'll need to check with the current admins whether they want to deal with that -- I've retired from my post there a while ago. Thanks for the info though!
