I had joined an almost dead wiki with the intention of making it better. After creating some pages, I was contacted by the admin and told that, since my work didn't follow the (untouched for three years) policy, most of my work would be deleted. Realizing that the wiki was almost dead because the admin's tendency is to delete everything that is not written by him or a user with seniority, I decided to back out and pull my work from the wiki before he could further tamper with it.
The question I have is, do I have the right to delete my own work? As in, the pages I created and the edits I added to existing pages; I have no interest in removing work created by others. I ask because the admin has now taken my work and is barring me from editing or removing them under the threat of banning me from the wiki.
A part of me tells me that this is a violation of individual rights, but I may be wrong. Can a higher authority make a definitive statement about this, please?
My work is being held hostage as I type this, so a speedy response would be appreciated.
