  • how do you put in an article properly? do you just go straight on editing the main page and use heading 2 for the featured article, or is there a template to use?

    this is the wiki I'm editing: http://obluda.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Wiki

    thanks guys.

    • Hey, this can vary between wikis, but usually a template is used. For example, the Star Wars Fanon Wiki embeds this template in its main page to achieve the desired effect.

    • You can also use the <choose> and <option> tags to rotate through a random selection of featured articles.

      For example, you could make the featured article summary a subpage and rotate through a selection of them.

      So example code like this:

      <choose>
      <option>{{:Community_Central:Sandbox/fa1}}</option>
      <option>{{:Community_Central:Sandbox/fa2}}</option>
      <option>{{:Community_Central:Sandbox/fa3}}</option>
      </choose>

      Would show this (click here to select a random featured article example): Community Central:Sandbox/fa3

      ...Well it looks like action=purge is not working in this new forum, but it works in the regular case.
