How do I make my own user page link colour?
How do I make my own user page link colour?
@Batreeqah the code should be:
/*------------------*/ /*--ADMINISTRATORS--*/ /*------------------*/ a[href="/wiki/User:C_H_U_N_K_Y"], a[href="/wiki/User:Batreeqah"] { color: #000000 !important; }
Make sure to replace spaces with _
Actually, the !important
is not needed (but the semicolon is compulsory), because here the code Penguin-Pal posted will always take precedence over the default link color set by Wikia. !important
is also prone to caching issues and should generally be avoided. So it should be just color: #000000;
(or even color: #000;
).
TK is right. This wiki is rather new, and it doesn't have codes that might affect the admin colors.

Could you develop that point a little more, please? There's only one declaration in the rule. What does the semi give us, syntactically?
Another thing to note is that the codes above will color a link to your userpage, but it will also color links to subpages under your username. For instance, the code:
a[href="/wiki/User:Rappy_4187"] { color: black !important; }
will change all my user page links to black... but the above code will also change a link to User:Rappy 4187/sandbox to black as well. If that is not wanted, change the code to:
a[href|="/wiki/User:Rappy_4187"] { color: black !important; }
Oh, interesting. thanks for the message, Rappy!
I tried doing it on one of the wikis: http://rathascreature.wikia.com/wiki/Ratha%27s_Creature_Wiki
a[href="/wiki/User:QueenClam"]{color: DodgerBlue !important;}
I've tried the ctr F5 with the Chrome
Does it work? Did I make a mistake?
Hey,
Can you make a new post on Special:Forum? That way more people will see your question & be able to respond to it. Thanks.
