Good news! Your account is not broken as this is a normal thing. You must wait a few days for your account to be automatically confirmed (autoconfirmed). So just hang in there for a few days and you will be able to do more.
However, I seem to be having a problem with uploading my own profile pic. I try to upload one, but it still shows one of the defaults. I tried logging in and out. Also, no error messages have appeared, so yeah. Any help here? I want to figure this issue out before I contribute outside of community central.
Yeah, my first image I tried to make as my avatar said "error: file size too high", but the other one that I want now isn't displaying any errors, even about file size.
Edit: I figured it out it's this part:
Changing avatars is known to cause problems on mobile devices. If you cannot change it, use a computer or contact Fandom.
You currently can't use Safari for iOS to upload an avatar (That's the problem, I was using safari for iOS). But there are plenty of other ways for you to use your iOS device to upload avatars. You can use another iOS browser like Firefox or Chrome. Or you can use the Fandom app or one of our community apps to change your avatar.
Another edit: wait, I'm using google now and I still can't do it. Is it possible to do it if you are in google if you enter google from safari?
I am skeptical they would enforce an image size minimum. I think that is just there to ensure that the image looks good; not because of some technical requirement.
At least on the legacy platform, there is a long-standing bug where local permissions can impact the avatar upload process. If you tried uploading the avatar on a wiki other than Community Central, try doing it here instead.
