  • This template forms the 'Header row' of tables within our Wiki (and then uses this template for each row). But when the templates are used to create different tables on a page it does not look overly neat as the columns are always different sizes. For example on this page , the templates are used multiple times, so in the first instance (in Battersea (QB) ) the columns are different sizes to when it is used further down (at Beddington Cross (BC) ).

Is there a way to set a size for the columns in the first template ?

    • set table-layout: fixed for the table: with this option, browser will not resize columns, the width will be counted by the 1st cell.

where would I put that in the template code?

    • in the styles of the table:
      {| class="wikitable" style="margin: 0.5em auto; text-align: center; somewhere here"
