• Hello, again. In my Wiki, I've been wanting to sort certain pages in categories like this:

See the top left (image taken from Wookieepedia)

Notice the two main article categories are listed at the top, not sorted alphabetically with the other articles. I'm not very good with CSS, and I can't think of a way to do this in JS. I tried 'reverse engineering' it in a sense, but I couldn't figure it out. Any idea how to do this? Thanks, in advance!

    • Next time, it would be better to just link to the example page. I had a hunch as to what was going on but it took me a while to find the page so that I could confirm it.

The way Wookieepedia does that is it uses custom sort keys. You can read about them here and here. The method you use will depend on whether or not you want the custom sort key to apply to all categories or just a few specific ones.

    • All right, thanks! I'll try to remember to provide a link next time.
