From time to time, I like to edit film related pages on Wikia, because I'm in some of these films. Unfortunately, a sick troll with no life has been annoying me online for months now. He stalks me on forums, and stole my YouTube videos, sent people to my friend's house, and vandalized entries on my IMDb.com page. His behavior is creepy and warrants police intervention now. Then I discovered he added my videos to illegal torrent sites and designed fake posters using screenshots, or made entries on other databases I never authorized. However, I cannot report the illegal film sites as they are set up to not be able to be easily traced. He also uses anonymous proxies on here to screw up pages I started. He previously used the handle "25e" because I called myself 25g for a period of time, but he probably uses a VPN to commit the abuse, as I saw that the user who edited some pages I began had a Dutch IP address, and I know the guy pestering me is from New Jersey. He harassed me at Wikipedia too, and he had many accounts.
Would you be able to protect articles I begin from users that have few or no prior edits? If you go to the Acting Wiki for example, you can see that he vandalized entries for i.e. Karma Kills RIP, Home Away from Home, and other pages related to myself (Peter Anderson).
No problem, just in case I've updated enwiki based on Gordon E. Sawyer Award, the old oscars.org 2012 press release was not more covered by the old reference. See below, there are various Peter Anderson in ImDB.
No, that's not me. I did, however, try to report the guy who keeps harassing me by calling the cops in Belleville. The police hung up on me when they found out I was ringing them from Scotland, which was very rude.
I live in Edinburgh. The A grade douche bag who keeps annoying me is in New Jersey. He used to run a site called Evil Unleashed, and now for one reason or another, purposefully bothers me at other sites with scores of IDs. Wikipedia. Wikia. GetSatisfaction. Biohaze. Etc.
Wait, so some person from New Jersey, USA is calling local authorities in Belleville (country unknown) to harass someone in Edinburgh, Scotland and the local authorities in Scotland will not listen to the complaint? Either way, not much they can do on their own as they have no authority in the USA.
The edits by 220.127.116.11 on w:c:acting:Glitch and w:c:acting:Home Away from Home were constructive, i.e., you (if it was you) should not add a link to the page about you as "starring", if ImDB lists Peter Anderson only as "other cast (party guest)", and the page lists nobody else from the cast.
Okay, and 25e was already blocked globally. Automatically protecting pages edited by somebody (not limited to 25g or HighlandSpring) isn't possible, but you can suggest on w:c:VSTF that they could find a troll by watching your contributions (e.g., create a silent abuse filter taking "edited by you" as input.)
Again, the only thing Wikia is concerned about and/or can do anything about is the trouble th user has caused on their sites. Trouble on other sites need to be brought to the attention of the site owners and trouble in real life needs to be reported to the appropriate authorities.
He enjoys wasting his precious time, so much in fact that he just tried to sign me up to spam lists too. I have also gotten emails about resetting my passwords. They are more of a minor inconvenience than anything else.
