I have noticed a major problem on MarioWiki, that we tend to disagree with each other. Recently, I have noticed that me, Titanium Archer and Pinpoint12 were arguing, and lead to me having to give them a block. And I do have valid reasons why.
First of all, ever since they joined, they have been discussing off-topic which meant I had to close them. Then, Titanium Archer was posting rude messages, which meant I had to block him. Then, when he got unblocked, me and him started to get along, until later on when he started to act rude again. Then, he and Pinpoint12 have been bombarding me and harassing me with messaged saying that I was abusing my power, when I was only trying to my job. As a admin, it is the rules that if they show disrepect, actions must be taken. Then, out of nowhere, Titanium Archer posted a thread telling me I have to stop bannig users, when the user I blocked was vandalising the Super Mario Maker 2 page. Then, I have to remove it as it was a personal attack on a admin, which I have learnt from Ninjago Wiki. Learning that helped me understand what a admin should do if a situation happens. Then, when I wanted to talk to you calmly and sensibly, you just straight up demoted me permanently. Why couldn't you help resolve the issue?
Then, I noticed here that you accused me of Derek stepping down his position. That was his decision, not mine.
I understand you probably despise me after this, but I want to talk things out now, and maybe we could get staff involved to help.
I know I have been causing you trouble. Personally, I'm getting sick of these stupid arguments with admins. I'll make this brief, but I think that we should have a conversation about this, because it's getting out of hand. Please don't get overly upset about this until we've talked it through. I don't want another argument.
LuigiMaster and I got into a couple arguments, but they eventually got solved. We started to get along, and just did normal mario wiki things. LuigiMaster kept telling people that they were off topic, including Derek, being nasty to people, and making unhelpful edits when he wasn't supposed to. This led to his admin rights being removed. He begged and pleaded until finally, I joined in and defended his cause, resulting in him getting his rights back. Later, he gets in an argument with Derek. Derek told him to stop making edits that he wasn't supposed to make. LuigiMaster told Derek that he had done nothing wrong, and started to insult him. Now, Derek is litterally complaining to me about how aweful LuigiMaster is being. Now, let me clarify something: Derek is the nicest user I've ever met. He is able to put a possitive spin on any situation. He can deal with frustrating users like ANETAJONES just by talking nicely to them. I have never seen him in a nasty mood, until LuigiMaster caused problems. He and Derek have been getting in fights all the time. Each time Derek tells him he's doing something wrong, LuigiMaster says he's fine. Zeospark comes in and tells them to quit it, LM41 apologises with a lot of emojis... and then does the same thing again within a couple weeks. I got banned within a couple months of joining MarioWiki, just because I told LuigiMaster that he was overeacting and it was stressing me out. Derek investigated the issue, and told LuigiMaster that I had done nothing wrong. LuigiMaster refused to change his position. I got banned for "Being defensive and dissrespectful to an admin, you deserve this." Now, I have been banned from wikis before. Wether I liked it or not, I could usually understand in some way or another why I was banned. This is by far the most ridiculous banning I have ever had.
Overall, LuigiMaster is a stubborn user who doesn't do what he's told, won't change his mind about it, and then apologizes and does it again. He also is just nasty to users for no reason. Every time someone tells him something he just says "no" or "you shouldn't be here" or something like that, and is constantly accusing users of being off topic or spamming when they have done nothing wrong. This is a super contreversial post, and I understand that. This is not a hate post or anything. This is me saying what I think about the wiki. I have sat by and watched LM41 tear apart mario wiki one peace at a time. He started with me, then with derek, and now he's making unnecessary edits. He litterally tried to put "the admins are always right." in the rules of the wiki. He constantly acts like he is superior to everyone else, and it drives me nuts. I can't put into words how much he frustrates me. What's even worse, is that I know that you are going to read this post and think "titanium archer should be banned because he is so dissrespectful. He keeps causing problems everywhere." I would like to tell you that I am not causing problems. Please look back at every single post where I was the "bad guy." I promise you that every single one is just LM41 being obnoxious and rude. I made another post just like this on MarioWiki and it immediately got deleted by LM41 who threatened to ban me again. This is not just a Titanium Archer being a jerk moment. This is me expressing the thoughts of me, Derek, Pinpoint, and many others who I prefer not to name. Please, I just want to talk about this in a civilized manner. I don't want another fight, when all I want to do is make the wiki better. Please do not get upset at this post.
Sorry if I didn't read this sooner. Notifications aren't working right and I've been super busy lately.
One bothersome thing about Luigi I noticed a lot is that he has a bad habit of getting himself involved in things that don't concern him and I've always tried to take the polite approach but, ugh, I'll admit just hearing about Luigi's issues a lot combined the amount of craziness in the real world now (the virus and the freaking riots), my stress levels were through the roof and I needed time off. I told Derek many times he should be suspended of his rights and he agreed. However, everytime it was about to happen, Derek suddenly backed down each time and said we should just overlook his behavior saying that Luigi only responds to positive replies. We shouldn't be feeding people's egos if they're obviously in the wrong. It was part of the reason he isn't a crat anymore.
I believe we should start to resolve this situation now. I would like to express my self as to how I feel.
For one, Titanium Archer and Pinpoint12 have been constantly bombarding me and harassing me with messages. The reason I went on wikibreak, was so I could learn a lesson or two at Ninjago Wiki. And now I have. It is not acceptable or nice to continuously message a user like that. But how exactly is it my fault that Derek wasn't a bureaucrat anymore. It was his decision to step down, not mine. I have been trying to avoid arguments since but Titanium and Pinpoint have always just told me that I was abusing my power, when I was trying to do my job.
I feel like we should get staff to help resolve this issue.
Dude, why are you here? This is as private as I can get. I message people on community central litterally so that you don't barge in like you do on every single post I make. I'm not blaming you for Derek's demotion, but I do think you may have had a small part in it. I think even though it wasn't necissarily your fault, Derek felt pressured by the trouble you were causing. Also, if you think that blocking people for giving you advice and complaints, then it's no wonder you got demoted. If you wanna talk about something important like this, please talk on mario wiki. Not on my private chat with Zeo.
I didn't though...I tried to be as respectful as I could to someone I knew who would ban me at a moments notice (which you did). This is at least the third senario where I made a message, and you turned it into a big fight where you insulted me. When I say "this is a problem" just think "Ok, this guy is really annoying, but maybe he's right. Maybe since TItanium, Pinpoint, Derek, and Zeo have all told me that I'm causing problems, I should listen to them instead of refusing their advice."
Then maybe, being calm, fair and reasonable would have been the best way to deal with stuff. I feel like the way you wrote the message made it seem offensive. I know that you and Pinpoint probably despise me, but I want to do my best to make it up. It's just its confusing for me when the rules at MarioWiki aren't that straight for me... when you first came to the wiki, the way you acted to me felt like you didn't appreciate me, when it was my job, as well as part of the rules there not to talk about off-topic stuff. I didn't want to block you, but I also didn't want to break the rules. Is there any way I could help make it up to you? I really do want to help put things straight this time!
We don't despise you. We just dislike it when you block users for unfair reasons. We have not been unreasonable or rude to you, if anything it's been you who has been unreasonable with just blocking people left and right, including both of us (now unblocked by Zeo). Yes, when people are off-topic, it is reasonable to close the thread, but not when it's on someone else's message wall, unless it involves you personally and they are okay with you joining the conversation. Especially when people are just being friendly (Titanium showed me a post where he was talking to someone about something irl, and you closed it because you said it was 'off-topic').
Obviously, I am not an admin / mod, and I don't make the rules, but this seems like common sense to me. Zeo and Titanium, feel free to correct me if anything I've said is wrong.
Hmm... you have made your point clear. It's just I found it annoying how you and Titanium continuously bombarded me with messages and I just couldn't take it anymore! If you are still willing to, I would like to put aside our differences. I really would like to, and I am not just saying that! I actually do feel bad now, it's just unclear for me on what I must do.
I know you want to help, but that's the problem. You think you're helping, when you're actually not. You're focusing on the rules, and not on reasoning, grace, and friendship. That post didn't need to be deleted. It was on a message wall, so it should be fine. Also, it didn't help the wiki in any way. Off-topic posts are supposed to be deleted because their are other places to talk about this stuff. Do I need to go to a Bible wiki to talk to Dadog about christianity? No! I could have just said it right then and there! If someone is making a poll on what the new Doom game should be like, then that needs to be deleted. Plus, you're not even a moderator. You're an admin. It's not your job to go searching around looking for a post to lock. Leave that to the actual moderators. Now, I could just say that for some strange reason you were on Dadog's wall and you just happened to see my post, and then also somehow ended up on KlapTrap's wall and saw a similar post, but there's more than that. In every single, and I mean every single conversation I've had on people's walls, you have always been there. I've seen it on Derek and Zeo's walls too. It almost seems like you are looking for a fight. First, it was when I adressed you about my problem. I didn't think that that post should be deleted. Did I call you names? Did I swear at you? No! All I said was "dude, I didn't like that." Instead of adressing the problem like a true admin, and actually trying to help out, you just denied that you were wrong, and accused me of harassing you. You have done this with many many other users, and they always end up being blocked. The same thing happened with the Lemonz issue. I had been causing trouble on Smashpedia, so Lemonz let you know. You immediately jumped to the conclusion that I was going to start a rebellion on the wiki, and when I defended myself you banned me. Later, I told Zeo that I had an issue with the wiki's rules. I proofread it so that no one could take any offense by it. That is... anyone except LuigiMaster. For some reason, you were on Zeo's message wall, and decided that you would just butt in and accuse me of insulting Zeo, when the point of the message was litterally not to offend him! I've chatted in a couple of your messages before, and each time you told me to leave. This is pure hypocricy since you have butted in to many of my messages, including community central where I should be able to talk in peace.
Later, Pinpoint and I tried to give you advice, as well as Derek and Zeo. We all told you that you were too self-centered, and that you wouldn't listen to people's ideas. Ironically, you didn't listen to our ideas, and said that we were wrong. Then, when you kept banning people for rediculous reasons, Pinpoint and I told you to stop again and you banned us. When Zeo found out, it was the last straw. He unblocked us because he saw that we had done nothing wrong. Both times I got banned, it was considered rediculous by an admin, and you still thought it was fine. The second time, you proceded to re-blockme and pinpoint when a beurocrat told you it was fine. You not only blocked people for dissagreing with you, but you dissagreed with admins multiple times, and even undid their actions multiple times.
In short, you are very stubborn. You wont listen to anyone else, even when they are right, going so far as to block them for dissagreing with you. I know that Mario Wiki means a lot to you, and I'm honestly upset that you have to get demoted, but it's for the best. You had many many chances, and loads of pep talks and you ignored all of them, changing only for a couple weeks, only to return to your old ways. You have been very frustrating since I've joined the wiki, and I wish you could just listen to other people. This is an important lesson that I'm still learning, since I have a very similar problem. Even though you think you're right, you are not always right. This is why we need other people to help us out. Everyone is different, and everyone's brains work differently. Other people will have great ideas that you didn't even think of, and if you reject them just because it's not your idea doesn't mean it's wrong. I really want to be a movie director, and I have ideas for movies and tv shows all the time. Most of the time, though, the ideas I have need fixing. They are problems that I don't really want to fix, but I know that if I don't, any movie that I make will be very unpopular. This is why I'm going to make it my goal to find a good friend to help me. Someone to give me ideas when I'm not sure how to make it better; to find solutions to the problems I don't want to fix. I tottally understand the situation you're in, I'm just surprised that it's been so long and you still haven't fixed it. If you want what's best for the wiki, than try to just deal with this. Being an admin is a privaledge, but the wrong admin can make the wiki a dissaster.
I'm sorry that this message sounded so dark and mean, I'm just trying to drive a point that you haven't seen yet. I really hope that you do well in all the wiki's you're in, and that you can realize and fix this problem that you have.
Good luck in your future, man,
P.S. I'm really not a mean guy, I just tend to say things the hard way. Sorry if it's been annoying you.
Ok. Sry if I dissrespected you. I think that you may have been a little oversensative, but there were definately some times where I could have been more respectful. Sry if that sounds like a baed apologie.
No, I am the one who should be sorry. I know you and Pinpoint were trying to give me advice, and I took stuff the wrong way. It's just you seemed a bit offensive and you too kept on bombarding me with messages. But I DO want to make things up now. Just tell me what I can do to help improve on my character. I would just like another chance to make up for my actions. But I do accept your apology. It's the whole virus thing that's messing with us!
Hello, ZeoSpark. I would like your opinion, ZeoSpark. Do you like the infobox changes that we can customize the theme for certain articles? The pink infobox for Princess Peach, turquoise infobox for Rosalina and yellow infobox for Super Mario Bros. 3 (removed). Infoboxes were used to categorize articles, now they use the default "red" color.
In my opinion, I have no idea what was in the users' minds. The proposal says to change the infobox color to match the character/enemy's respective color. It has been changed that all infoboxes are set to the subject's respective color. There was no benefit of customizing infoboxes, but to make infoboxes look "pretty".
Hello, ZeoSpark. I could message you on MarioWiki, but I am always used to LuigiMaster41 butting our conversations.
I created a page called What MarioWiki is not. I saw your 2014 April Fools' joke that you were going to "leaving" the wiki. Although, I know you would not leave the wiki, I knew you were serious when several users talk on threads rather than serving any purpose on the wiki. I even wanted to disable the comment feature, thinking about it. So I decided to create that page to give users an idea of MarioWiki's expectations.
By the way, do you think we should continue with the forums? It looks like the forums are used to contribute to MarioWiki while discussions are used to have conversations. Feel free to view: Forum:Keeping forums.
Yeah sorry about that. As for the comments, it was something I suggested awhile back since users would often reply to old comments or very rudely. But a lot of other users were against that idea so I backed off it in the meantime as it wasn't that big of a problem back then.
And we haven't really used forums in a long time have we? The discussions pretty much took over them lol
I think we can convince Fandom that we maintain the forums while using discussions. I know it is crazy, but majority of users use discussions to talk about Mario instead of the wiki. I am considering forums to be used to discuss wiki matters. You may visit the link here.
Zeo, just so you know. I posted a stupid blog on MarioWiki for "April Fools" day. I wrote down below on the blog "This is an intended "April Fools" joke, and it is not recommended that users must follow this example."
Hello, ZeoSpark. I believe we must disable comments on MarioWiki. The community has a discussion page where users can discuss their opinions about the article. For the article's talk page, I would like it if users discuss on improving articles instead of mentioning their opinions on articles. What do you think?
Sorry I did saw your other message but I had things to do. You have to at least give me some time to reply. You do tend to send me somewhat hostile messages if I don't reply in a certain amount of time (like "You better not be ignoring my messages"). Not to mention my notifications doesn't always work. I know you didn't say it this time but I'm just making sure you don't resort to that again.
Oh. Now, I realize what I am doing wrong. I am sorry for behaving impatient. I don’t like acting hostile too, but I am making those comments, then anyone was better off telling me. I believe what you said and this is helping me. Thank you for telling me.
I mean...I guess they don't want their way of posting opinions or their thoughts of a certain page to be taken away. They will take it as "No more comments, you must edit a page" meaning they're forced to edit a page. Sure, helping out the page is more, well, helpful but I guess they could also express how they feel about a page (especially if it's a new game).
I could only think of a compromise by adding a certain rule where you must stay on topic of a page or not add unnecessary things like "I like this page."
Zeo, Luigi felt worse after the conversation we had as you concluded something. I tried my best to help him, but he just became dissident. He just unfriended you and I told him that it does nothing better to the situation and makes it worse. What should we do?
Hello, ZeoSpark. On MarioWiki, there are edit wars. I was wondering if I should substitute you to be in charge of MarioWiki while you are inactive? I want to help try to make the wiki better and also that way, the wiki will not have edit conflicts when you are not around since you are busy. There are edit conflicts on MarioWiki and some include my edit conflicts which I find disastrous.
I want you to end this conflict because I was likely turned down for doing the conflict that happened. I am trying my best to assume good faith even if it does not look right to make sure the user is comfortable. Due to the discussion that turned out to be a conflict of the article, Larry Koopa/Appearances. I received some haze at the end and I am sure neither of our conflicts are our fault. This user made it harder for me to deal as will not listen and leave me in the dumps. I know he is defensive and upset but he should understand about assuming goid faith too. I posted this apology on his wall, but he refuses to forgive now. This is not to cause trouble, I want you to make things right.
Note: To be honest, I hope you know the user I am talking about. He tends to ignore me currently. I am afraid about the consequences the user may have. Please respond as soon as possible (or someone else can respond).
Sorry for not being around. Just had to work almost a week straight and I've just been worn out lately...
It looks like Luigi has been a little upset lately. I guess after getting those powers and being corrected just makes him feel like he's not trying hard enough. I was trying to tell him even us admins and crats get corrected and shouldn't take it the wrong way. I think he just needs some time to himself for the time being.
Also yeah I could use the big help and I was considering making you a crat especially since others supported it. Being a crat by myself for around 5 years is a bit exhausting at times lol...
Oh, I considered about being a bureaucrat. Thank you for understanding me and him, I hope he can understand more about mistakes. I am not worried if he does not want to be my friend, I was concerned that he was upset about it. And yeah, I think in reality, it is like having high expectations when you get a good position, but it is sad online could be the case. Thank you for the response!
Edit: To be fair, it looks like he tries to take pride of what he is doing. That is why he considers me for starting arguments and he defending his mistakes. We mostly notice he does not realize that users in promoted positions are even corrected moat of the times, but he should be given time to realize about himself. Somehow, he collides on my edits :O I hope he understand what a content moderator does, he actually relies on you and Karim more than me. He will listen to both of you, while he abandons me in the dungeon.
Ugh, he teased me for getting annoyed with him. I told him how rude it was to call me sexist, and he responded arrogantly. I expected him to apologize first before I apologize to him. I told him that I did not speak to him for a long time because he wanted me to leave him alone. It can be my fault, but he often looks down at me currently.
Maybe the power has gotten to his head a bit...I'll make sure to have a talk with him to make sure he's okay. I'm definitely going at this as calm as possible since I don't him to feel attacked or anything.
Also, I'll be sure to promote you to crat in a little while! I'll be writing a blog on it first to make sure to let others know I'll be semi-active for a little while. I'll still make edits when I'm free.
I still apologized to him, especially I admitted my mistakes. He apologized to me first, I discussed to him about it here. To be fair, I also believe he was correct I started to talk to him about the argument. I fail to understand what I did and what made him feel like that, it wasn’t entirely his fault.
Thank you for your approval for bureaucrat. I will also link the announcement to your blog.
Edit: I am not sure if my talk was good enough to convince him.
That's OK. I was cold after staying outside. I am working on the latest project for the draft of the character guide pages. Later, I am thinking of changing my avatar when I go on my computer sometime. I want to try taking a screenshot of A Link Between Worlds Zelda sealing Lucario or Dark Pit using her Final Smash, Triforce of Wisdom. That is one of my favorite Final Smashes in SSBU along with Peach Blossom and the All-Out Attack.
I don’t know if my conversation with him was supposed to end like that, he removed his thread without approving my response. I am just perplexed with his response. I did not receive any good answer, instead he removed his own thread. It is like he does not like my advice. I want to know: did he appreciate what I replied to him? I think you should try talking to him about it. I am basically the user whose threads are always removed or closed. This is the same link to the removed thread. I think he is mostly lying about me start arguments and saying that I like arguments more than him. It is just that his position right now makes him misuse his power.
Hi Zeo. As you may know, I replied to a comment on the Rosalina article on the Mario wiki, which resulted with a ban. I know under the circumstances it may definitely seem like I run the other two accounts, but I can assure you that is not it. I was looking through the comments to the article and saw the comments of th two other accounts. Thinking it would be humorous, I made an account to reply to them. I would really like to be unbanned from commenting, if it's okay with you. What is more important to me is I'm not sure if I was IP banned, as on the page it said username or IP ban. I hope this is not the case as my sister, who lives at the same house, frequently uses a Fandom account, and would be devastated if me being stupid caused a ban. I hope you can consider it.
Like Derek said, you aren't allowed to have multiple accounts on the same wiki even if it means to roleplay. It could be your sister because there isn't really nothing to prove that is her (and no getting her to say she is the other account won't help because it could be you that's saying that) especially since those comments came around the exact same time.
Now, this definitely seems sincere and I do believe in second chances especially if it's an misunderstanding so I'll lift the block off of this account. However, just to be on the safe side, the other ones will still be blocked because even if that other one belongs to your sister (which I'm still not sure about), there isn't really a good way to prove that. I'm only going by the evidence that those three Rosalina accounts just happened to reply at the same time.
