I posted one comment (it didn’t break any rules, just sharing an opinion) on one of the articles, and then later noticed that I have been blocked from the Killing Stalking wiki till 2099. I got no reason nor a warning. Then I tried to ask about it and they removed my comment without giving any reply. Apparently this sort of thing has happened to other users aswell. I’m just wondering if there is anything that can be done about this.
Thank you for contacting me and bringing this to my attention. Right now, I investigated your ban and indeed, it's not justified, especially not anything until 2099. Your comments were not offensive towards other editors and were part of a discussion. I'll unban you and also investigate the other bans and contact the administrator.
Your ban and a couple of other bans that were not justified are gone. The majority of bans of IPs (the numbers people without usernames have) were justified, though, so they stayed (though shortened to weeks instead of years, because IPs change - shortened so that they don't affect random people due to IP changes). I reviewed all bans last night and agreed with the admin that lifting the unjustified ones is alright. They overreacted a bit while removing some disturbing contents from the comments.
I recently spoke with you on the Ajin wiki about adoption, as well as asking about the old wiki manager there. I understand a little bit about what a Wiki Manager does, and was wondering if there is a way to request a manager for a wiki. I have recently adopted the Sachi-iro no One Room wiki, and it has very few contributors. I want to make many changes and additions to the main page, more than I did as a regular user. But when I blog about the things I want to do, no one responds. Would a manager be able to advise me on how to proceed?
You want this to be a custom welcome message for new editors, yes? You just need to paste this to MediaWiki:Welcome-message-wall-user. I just did that for you. If something's wrong and doesn't work, let me know and I'll help again.
