kulinarna wiki Edit

Hi! Is there way to make this wiki adopted after no activity by me? Korwin 19:24, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, looks like the founder has never edited there, so you can have a go at getting in going. I've given you rights there. Good luck! -- sannse (talk) 17:44, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Template already done Edit

Dear Sannse,
The visit/lang2 template already done. Take a look here: template:Visit/xx. If it was wrong or just anything that is not correct, please write in my talk page on Karl May Wiki.

--Agus elex 2005 10:29, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

That's great! Many thanks Agus -- sannse (talk) 17:45, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Strange thing happened, please see Edit

Sannse, I already made the infobox template and already copied it to starter wiki, but strange thing happened. Please compare this two pages:

The talk page of w:c:id.karlmay:Templat:Infobox and the talk page of w:c:starter:Template:Infobox.

I don't know why this could happen. Maybe you know or could ask someone who knows. I already ask GreeenReaper and szoferka, they didn't know why. I want to ask splarka but he's not around. Please keep me informed.

Thank you, --Agus elex 2005 15:15, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Agus, looks like I may be seeing something different from you? To me they look exactly the same. What do you see? -- sannse (talk) 17:52, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
OH, I was looking at the wrong page... sorry, will look further -- sannse (talk) 17:53, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
I think that may be one for the technical team, I can't see any reason for it on the editing side. I'll try and catch Jason next time he's on-line. Thanks for the work! -- sannse (talk) 17:57, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
There was a line return after the pipe in Template:Pipe, --Splarka (talk) 03:35, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Wiki Edit

I requested a new wiki from my wiki:[1]. So what will happen to it. How will it happen?--Darth Sauron. Main page.Link establishing. Don't worry this line is clear. 19:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

It takes a few days for me to get to new requests, I research and review them and then email you about it. Hopefully it shouldn't be more than a couple of days until you hear more -- sannse (talk) 07:45, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Bronze Star Edit

Wow a bronze star! I certainly don't expect to receive this as my contributions are just too view to mention, hehehe. It's great! Thanks so much sannse. Now, that's something to be proud of. --Agus elex 2005 01:16, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

:) Enjoy... and as you are doing another volunteer task... there will be another on the way soon -- sannse (talk) 07:45, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Two Questions Edit

I have two questions for you. The first one is about admins on SW Fanon. Now that the community had buckled down and stopped troll feeding, there are a few overdue admins such as myself, Jasca Ducato, Aiddat, and I believe Ewoksfist. A few users, I'm sure, would like it with more than one admin. Secondly, some of us are curious about the sudden disppearence of our founded. If you could enlighten us about his disappearence, that would be nice but you don't have too. Thanks :) MaulYoda

I will look again at admins, and discuss it with Angela and others as soon as I can (got a lot on at the moment, and it involves doing some checks). I don't know why the founder left, it's not uncommon for people to lose interest or get too busy in real life after requesting a wiki. People move on and find other things to do :) -- sannse (talk) 06:24, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you very much. You don't need to appoint all of us if you decide to but at least appoint Aiddat (and me for suggesting it if you want). MaulYoda

Hi sansse, could you please ban Jeremiah Ebenezer Boodle from SWFANON, he is impersonating me, as i am still banned i cant sign in, but if you check my user page User:JheremEboodle, you will see i have the credentials for the real account and he is a vandal trying to cinvince people that he is the original boodle. regards jeremy

looking -- sannse (talk) 08:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Sannse, if you don't mind. Could you take a look at [[Proposition VIII - Bot account over at the Star Wars Fanon Forum please. Your input would be much appreciated. Jasca Ducato Sith Council (Sith campaign) 08:23, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Bot Request Edit

We haven't voted on whether or not we should have bots but my brother, user:Nihilusdude, would like to volunteer his account to become one. He wants to know how to set that up. MaulYoda

I'm afraid the first requirement for a bot flag is knowing how to set up for one :) and it's not done on a user account like this anyway. So the answer is definitely no for this one -- sannse (talk) 19:42, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Volunteer portal changes Edit

On the Volunteer portal you added a task for making some changes to the volunteer portal by using templates.

I've had a go at this (although not on the actual volunteer portal)!

It uses a number of major templates, plus a whole heap of minor ones for each task which store information about that task, and allows easy automation and control over displaying both the information boxes on the portal page and on the details pages.

I've made the following templates which it currently uses (if it is adopted, you'd probably want to move some of them):

  • Template:Volunteer task - used to display the info box about each task
  • Template:Volunteer/New - the template which each new task page is copied off
  • Template:Volunteer details - a template for the details page which allows you to customise the appearance of every details page

I have the test setup of this all running at User:Markdarb/Sandbox, where you can see a sample task I've made to test it out, and you can test out the system for yourself. The steps are as follows:

  • Use the form to create the main page for the task
  • On that page, enter the exact name of the task (which you've already entered when you made the page) as the parameter of the template that's called
  • Follow all the links on that page to enter each appropriate piece of information.
  • Add the information box for the task on the volunteer portal, or sandbox or whatever, with {{Volunteer task|NAME OF TASK}}
  • If you want to change any piece of information, it can be changed once to automatically update wherever it's displayed

I hope it's the sort of thing you're after, and I hope my instructions were clear enough! I believe that it's got the required structure, although you'll probably agree that the layout of the templates needs to be improved. The advantage is it's very easy to make layout/design changes, and it's also easy to choose what information is displayed where and even introduce more information templates if necessary.

Please reply on User_talk:Markdarb

Thanks, Markdarb 10:30, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for all the work! It's good, but I think it's too complicated for what I'm looking for. I think it should be possible to use the current page style, but have a section of the subpages showing on the main page to show who has claimed that task. Maybe with <noinclude> except for the small section? I think having so many pages for each task will be a bit over the top, although I do like the simplicity of each section. Thanks again -- sannse (talk) 11:24, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
I understand what you mean about being too complicated, but on the other hand I personally believe it automates the use of the templates quite well, and it can certainly be improved upon. Do you think the system I've set up could be simplified in any way to suit the task better? If not, which of the following do you think is most ideal?
  • Putting the noinclude around everything except the list of volunteers, so that only the list of volunteers is shown when the template is called from the main volunteer page, and that all the other information has to be added manually, as it currently is.
  • Having a generic table or section on each subpage which displays all the basic information as you want it to display on the volunteer portal, so that you can just call the template for that task on the volunteer portal and not have to manually add the information.
  • Something else!
I hope I haven't just given you a bit of bother instead of the solution you were looking for! Markdarb 04:51, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
It's great to have another mind on this! I was sort of thinking of the first, but perhaps some other solution would be good. I like the formatting on the main portal page, and don't think we should have too many sub-pages, but it would be good to get the required information on the portal page as smoothly as possible. At the moment I can't really see how to do that for the best. -- sannse (talk) 18:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, the volunteer portal's design is good, as are the subpages, so the actual designs definitely don't need changing (well, maybe a bit on the subpage for each task, but only to make it work with the template system)! I personally think perhaps the best idea would be the second one I listed. It could be put inside a table to distinguish it from the rest of the page, but then the table coding could be noincluded so that it just imports the text when you use the template on the volunteer portal. I'll do that this afternoon/evening (New Zealand time, that is, as that's where I live) in my Sandbox to show you just what I mean and see what you think of it. Markdarb 21:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Cool! thanks Markdarb -- sannse (talk) 07:31, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

"Egyptolopedia" Edit

I accept all the things that you suggest in your mail. I agree with you about capitalising to "Egyptolopedia". Tell me if there's anything else I should concern before starting a wiki. And how can I choose the logo? --Hathor 17:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Hathor, that all sounds great. I will make this first thing in the morning. -- sannse (talk) 18:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

From Asturpedia, there aren´t admins, and, i´m one of two unic active users, can u make me admin? Here the URL.>>>> 19:50, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I see you've asked Zuirdj about this too - he's the best person to help :) -- sannse (talk) 20:09, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank You From SW FanonEdit

Thanks for appointing new admins on SW Fanon. I'm kinda disappointed I wasn't one of them but that's all about being a community. I'm sure I wasn't the only one anyway. MaulYoda

Speaking of which, is there any chance you will appoint more in the future? MaulYoda

Possibly, but I wouldn't expect that to be for quite some time -- sannse (talk) 07:07, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

About my wiki Edit

Hi! I would like to know whod has happened to my Egyptolopedia? --Hathor 15:03, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Hathor, there seems to be a problem with new wikis at the moment. Jason is looking at it right now, and hopefully all will be back to normal very soon. Sorry about this -- sannse (talk) 19:11, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

c:tradycja Edit

Please in Tradycja Wiki create new Name space: "Portal" and his talk: "Dyskusja portalu". --Michalwadas 19:45, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Michalwadas. It's normal for the namespace and the talk to match: "Portal" and "Dyskusja portal" or "Portalu" and "Dyskusja portalu". Are you sure about the names you have asked for? Please also check the list at Help:Custom namespaces to be sure you are ready for the namespace to be added. Thanks -- sannse (talk) 05:59, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
"Portal" and "Dyskusja portal" --Michalwadas 07:23, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
OK, Angela has set them up now. -- sannse (talk) 07:35, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
And had to remove them, because there was pages in that namespace. Please see the link above and make sure that all pages are moved out of the namespace, and the redirects deleted. Thank you. -- sannse (talk) 07:44, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
szoferka sorted this - so it's done again -- sannse (talk) 07:53, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Sysop Request for Christian Wiki Edit

Hey, Sannse, I'm here to request sysop status for the Christian Wiki. The site is desperately low on admins, and I think I could be a big help. My Wikipedia userpage is here, if you want to see more about me. I'd also like to request sysop status forChristWiki, since they're very short on admins as well, and they currently have no active RfA. -- Justin M. / Talk 16:28, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Justin, there isn't a formal RfA, but there is a portal page where you can ask, and the community can decide who should be admins. I've just promoted a bureaucrat there (and an overdue admin) so he will be able to make any rights changes needed there. Good luck! -- sannse (talk) 16:49, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Reply Thanks, Sannse! Now that I think about it, you probably couldn't help me with the second Wiki (ChristWiki), as it's on a different server than Wikia. Thanks again! -- Justin M. / Talk 17:03, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I missed that part of the request - yes, that one is off-Wikia -- sannse (talk) 17:30, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

New Wikia Edit

Hello Sansee I am Duke Hamper I sent you a request form for a wiki called Dukepedia a few days ago. What do you think about it? Duke Hamper 17:53, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I've got the request, it takes a few days to process requests and we have a bit of an extra backlog at the moment because we couldn't make them for a while (a technical problem). You request is just unter three days old, so it should be procesed withing the next few days. Sorry for the delay -- sannse (talk) 22:44, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello sannse, How about this logo: ?

--Agus elex 2005 20:25, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Looks good. I've added it to the forum for people to see both and comment on. -- sannse (talk) 08:02, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Dofus wiki bureaucrat needed Edit

Over at the Dofus Wiki, we are in the unfortunate position that our last active bureaucrat has gone away (see Dofus:Administrators), leaving our three sysops with no power to promote further sysops. I see that you upgraded Dashiva a while ago in the same situation (from the rights log). Could you upgrade DarkStorm and TaviRider to bureaucrat status please. Thanks //Peet talk 12:15, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, has there been any community discussion about this? I can't see any at the moment -- sannse (talk) 12:22, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
User Cizagna has been nominated for promotion here, and the discussion is here. Thanks. //Peet talk 12:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, I've left a message there -- sannse (talk) 12:35, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Re: Civ4 Edit

civilization.wikia is an inactive Wikia with a long address. Perhaps you (or other admin) can delete that wiki and install a new one with me as sysop? Plus, it seems that civilization.wikia is a general Civilization series wiki while civ4.wikia will be about the Civilization IV Civilopedia, a Civilization IV feature. IG 10:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I think that one aspect of one game is far too narrow a topic for a Wikia wiki, but it would be great as a section on the wider wiki. The Civilization Wikia is inactive, but this could be just the content to kick start it! If you need admin rights there, I can give those to you. It's is possible to change the URL for something shorter, but I don't think the current one is too bad and would rather not have to ask for it to be changed unless it's vital. If it is changed, it would have to be to something that fitted all aspects of the Civilization games though. -- sannse (talk) 19:55, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

re:moved wiki Edit

I remove that link. Thank you! ^___^--KJ_(talk) 16:19, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Are we allowed...Edit

To turn off the wikia messages box? I didn't find anything against it in the policies, but I didn't search exahustively. Meanwhile I turned it of at Inciclopedia. Since Inci's creation several months ago, I haven't seen any message even remotely related to it, nothing that would make sense to advertise at a Spanish-language humor site. The box usually looks badly and it makes many pages unnecessary longer, (our article on lazyness is a good example of how it affects negatively). We can keep the link to wikia's mainpage (and even the link to wikia messages if it's required) elsewhere at the sidebar.--Rataube 18:23, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

No, I'm sorry, but that can be considered part of the site advertising (even if it is internal advertising) and should not be removed. I hope that the box will be more specific in the future, at least in the languages presented, but for now it is at least a way of communicating across the whole of Wikia. Perhaps you can shorten pages with changes to the other menus there. -- sannse (talk) 21:57, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Kindly reminder Edit

Hi, just a kindly reminder about the Dofus Wikia bureaucrat status some subjects above Thanks. --Cizagna (Talk) 01:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the reminder :) I've made the permission changes -- sannse (talk) 07:31, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Logo doesn't display in Firefox Edit

Hi Sannse, the Logo on RPG Wikia doesn't display in Firefox. Could you check? In IE7 it displays alright: RPG Logo Regards, --KainNiemand

I see that logo as OK, on the link you gave and as the wiki logo. I'm using FireFox 1.5 and I've had someone check with 2.0 too. It may be a cache issue, I would try clearing you cache and forcing a refresh (Ctl. F5) that may clear it -- sannse (talk) 14:38, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Remove sysop rights Edit

Hello Sannse, could you remove my sysop rights on Nonsensopedia? I haven't enough time for this Wiki (school, new Wikis etc.). Thanks. Terrapodian | talk

Hi, I've done this, although I beleive it's better just to leave them in case you come back later... I hope you do, and I'll be happy to restore them then. Best wishes -- sannse (talk) 07:41, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

NWN wiki Edit

I have recieved an e-mail about my request for a wiki about Neverwinter Nights. I replied using Special:Contact but I haven't recieved a reply. I have changed the request information to the following:

Username: Leon2323

Your email address:

Name for the wiki (no spaces!): NWN

Title for the wiki: N-Wiki-N

Default language for this wiki: en - English

Description of the wiki: A wiki all about Neverwinter Nights, it's sequel and everything else related.

Additional information: There will be a lot of CSS and JS changes.

Please contact me if you need more information. --Leon2323 13:30, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for all your help, you know, I never thought about having 'Neverwinter' as a title. I'd better get seedposting! --Leon2323 19:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
The original mail bounced - but it sounds like it's got through to you now. That's great, let me know if you need any help. -- sannse (talk) 19:57, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Get a life Edit

What the #### is your problem? I have no problem with you as a person, unlike Bonney, but really detest the way that you interfere in our affairs. Kitsch wiki deserves our modifications. Please, join us. If you wish to discuss this issue further, please email Cchristian's pimp 18:09, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

If you have a genuine problem with the wiki, then please feel free to contact me at If you are just going to keep vandalising, then I and others will just go on fixing the vandalism. A rather futile daily ritual, but... as you choose. -- sannse (talk) 18:24, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
But why should we both waste our time? I don't want to have to spend my entire life vandalising kitsch. But at the moment, I don't really have any choice. Please can we just terminate the project? Cchristian's pimp 18:31, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Of course you have a choice. You could talk to me or one of the other Wikia staff about the problem you have with the wiki. Or you could just go away and ignore that it exists. It's up to you. I however, cannot ignore vandalism, fixing it is my job. -- sannse (talk) 18:52, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Mailing lists Edit

This is a sort of reply to #NWN wiki but as it's slightly a different topic, I used a new heading. As you said, the e-mail must have bounced for some reason (I'll have to check into that) but I didn't get an e-mail to say that the wiki had been created. I actually only found that the wiki had been created when I just for some reason typed in into my browser. I didn't actually recieve any e-mails or anything apart from the one replying to the first request. The important bit: I don't know how to administer the mailing list as I don't have a password! If you need to send me a password or anything, please use Special:Emailuser/Leon2323. I've changed the e-mail address to my personal one. Now all I've got to do is to go to Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikibooks...and change that will take a long time! --Leon2323 20:13, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Leon, I've set a temporary password and sent it to you, and some other information that you would have missed. Please let me know if it doesn't get to you. Thanks -- sannse (talk) 20:33, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your quick reply, I think it's to do with my end. I've been having problems with MX records for my domain name. I'm now using my Hotmail account but I'm still trying to find out the problem. I've updated nearly all wikis to the new address but I use a lot of wikis. --Leon2323 20:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
:)I know the feeling... good luck with that -- sannse (talk) 20:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Star Fox wiki Edit

Thank you for your support in the Star Fox Wiki i'm trying to set up. I finally recieved the email from you and am wondering what the next step is in the process of creating the wiki. I beleive i can conjure up a decent crowd interested in the project to allow it to take off. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time. Dude984 00:05, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi, the next step is to mail me back with exactly the information you give here ;) But here is fine too - I'll make the wiki today and mail you with some information and links. -- sannse (talk) 09:35, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks sunflower - Thanks sunflower Edit

Thank you for helping me with the Neverwinter wiki. You get a thanks sunflower! You can add this to your userpage by using the following code:

Thanks Leon! that's really good of you :) -- sannse (talk) 21:48, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Free use concerns Edit

Hi, thanks for your email reply to me about images on the Kingdom Hearts wiki. I finally got around to tagging those images, although I made a new template based off the delete one. The images I tagged can be found here, would you mind deleting them? I have backups in case my rationale for not being fair use turns out to be wrong.

I also want to thank you for your advice on getting all the editors together. What would be a good way to do that? I was thinking of posting a message on every editor's talk page and linking them to a community portal post I'd also make, but is there any better way? Thanks again for the help, Scottch 22:44, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi, that sounds fine. If you would prefer I can set a sitenotice. This will show on all pages until removed, and can point people towards the community portal. Let me know if you want this. I'll look at the deletions now -- sannse (talk) 18:44, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that'd be great. I'm guessing that's a MediaWiki page? Hopefully enough will show up that it won't be needed long. Thanks for deleting those pictures, there actually weren't as many as I originally thought there'd be. Just looking at the pages there looked like there would be more, but I was wrong. Scottch 04:07, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
I've put up the notice, let me know if you want the wording changed -- sannse (talk) 08:06, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

"Genealogy" collaboration Edit

Hi, Sannse. I see you've started some of the machinery work for our "month". I look forward to seeing us on the Main Page. What can we do to help? (No response to my questions on Category talk:Collaboration of the month). Robin Patterson 00:21, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

"There was discussion on the forum about spreading out the changes to the main page a bit, to keep interest there." --- which forum? Robin Patterson 23:08, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Robin, it was at Forum:Featured Wikia -- proposed changes. I'll have a look tomorrow at how we can expand the instructions, unless you get to it first. I wonder if we can make it clear enough that each wiki can do everything for itself when it wins... reduce the relience on someone remembering to change it and so on... just a thought -- sannse (talk) 23:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

moved medic wiki Edit

Thanks for your support in promoting the medic mini wiki to a full wikia.

I only have one question: wherer did all of the content go? I can't find the front page in the history, and it was a LOT of work! And the other pages are all gone. So... how do I find them? None of the content is archived on any of the contributors computers, and we're in the middle of 2 time-sensitive collaborations!

Please, help! Gobblehook 19:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, don't worry! It's all safely on the new wiki, including the article history. You can see all the pages at w:c:medic:Special:Allpages and the old main page is at w:c:medic:medic. You can either move that to the new main page, or copy the part of it you want to keep to the new page. Some of it won't quite work for the new wiki (links to recent changes for example) so will need a little adjustment. Let me know if you need help with that -- sannse (talk) 19:19, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!! Gobblehook 19:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Remindered! Edit

[6:26pm] sannse: Hinoa: can you leave me a reminder on my user page?

Hello. This is your friendly reminder that should you feel like it when you get up tomorrow, I would like a name change on Uncyclopedia from Hinoa4 to Hinoa. (User:Hinoa already exists on Uncyc; however, I give you my word that that user is me as well.) Thankya! —Hinoa 23:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey sannse, I'm posting a 16x16px PNG file I want to use as an icon for the the w:c:medic wiki. Could you convert it to an .ico file?

Thanks, Gobblehook 02:28, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Since it had no transparent sections (which usually only sannse can do right), I went ahead and did this for you: w:c:medic:Special:Log/upload. --Splarka (talk) 02:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Splarka -- sannse (talk) 08:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

CoDev and GameDev Edit

GameDev in Brazilian Portuguese, and CoDEV in Spanish both have been around for months with no edits: [2] [3]. And, there is no english version.

I propose we merge these two and a new english language one (with no founder) into:

And have:

  • as a disambiguation page or redirect to central GameDev, and a redirect to
  • GameDev the multi-language description page for all 3
  • CoDEV a redirect to it with a merged note.

Sound feasable? --Splarka (talk) 04:33, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Yep, all sounds good. Although as the name is in English, the English version doesn't need the language code -- sannse (talk) 08:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

While I didn't see the request, I'm guessing that the recently rejected Wikia request for Atlantis belongs on Stargate rather than stexpanded. --CocoaZen 03:36, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi CocoaZen, the request was for a wiki about a small Star Trek RPG called UES Atlantis, so should fit stexpanded well. I'd forgotten about the Atlantis series though :) -- sannse (talk) 07:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

SWF vandalEdit

  • We have a vandal over at the Star Wars Fanon wiki. I can't ban him, so can you!? Sith Council Sith Campaign 11:11, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
All done, call me again if you need to :) -- sannse (talk) 11:27, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you, but if you have time could you take a look at the SWFanon Wiki? I just finished reverting some vandalism by this ip: Normally I wouldn't bother you but it seems that none of our adimns are around. Thank you. Ewoksfist 03:15, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

De-sysopping Edit

Hi Sannse. Some month ago I gave a user ([4]) sysop-status on Spademanns Leksikon. Now it turns out that was a mistake since he has already pissed off a lot of users, who've seized contributing. I seek to de-sysop him - at least until we get the wiki up and running properly.

According to the people at the Watercooler, only staff (i.e. you) can help with that, so that's why I'm writing to you here. Thanks

--Lhademmor 08:38, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

I've done this, sorry to hear you are having problems there, and let me know if I can help at all -- sannse (talk) 09:16, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the quick reponse :-). The real problem with the wiki is, that it doesn't have a community - just a lot of users contributing at random. I will try to set up a community when I get the time. I'm mostly busy at Wikipedia atm. --Lhademmor 12:56, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and another thing: Many aspects of the wiki still seem to be in English. Is there any way to change this to the Danish default? --Lhademmor
It's all in Danish, except for the Wikia box and the Wikia spotlight, but you see it in English because you have English set as your language in your preferences. If you log out, you will see what the casual visitor sees. And you can change this in your preferences if you prefer to see a Danish interface on all Wikia -- sannse (talk) 21:23, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

E-mail working? Edit

Sannse, did you get my e-mail? It's been four days now... ― Thailog 11:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry Thailog, I've been so rushed this last week... yes I got it, I will reply today. -- sannse (talk) 11:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh. Ok. I was just wondering... Take your time then. It's not that important. : ) Thailog 11:53, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I have just adopted the War of the Worlds wiki, I have informed the origional founder about this. What exactly do I do next? BobafettH23

Just start editing :) There is a lot you can do to get started, look at what's needed, write new articles, and try to get new people into the project to help out. Once you have edited for a few weeks, we can give you full admin rights, so that you can delete pages and do other maintenance. In the mean time, you can drop a note to any of the community team if you need any admin jobs done. thanks for taking this on, and good luck! -- sannse (talk) 22:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism Edit

Apparently we're having what looks like a spam attack at the DCAU wiki, and the admins have been AWOL for one month. Can you help? ― Thailog 01:44, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

I see Rieke helped out by deleting this page. -- sannse (talk) 12:10, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Can you please do an IP check on these users down at the Star Wars Fanon wiki? I suspect there are all the same person, but I can't prove it. Thanks for your help! -- Jedi Master 76 [5] [6] [7] [8]

Is there a reason for a Checkuser? For example, have any of them vandalised, or voted twice on the same issue? Unless there are wider problems on a wiki (something I think swfanon has gone beyond now) there needs to be a reason for us to check IPs. -- sannse (talk) 12:10, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Search Wikia, and Favicon for Same Edit

Hi Sannse. The Search Wikia that I wrote to you about back in April 2006 is being revitalized. I thought you might want to know, the favicon you made has been marked as Public Domain. Even if you don't mind, it might solidify the PD status, if you added a note that you are the creator, and bless its release as PD (or GFDL, or CC, or whatever you prefer.) Have a great day, and thanks again for your kindness earlier this year!  :) Charm 09:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Charm, good to see things starting up there again. I see Reike has designed a new favicon, so all looks well there. Regards -- sannse (talk) 12:13, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Redesign the Volunteer Portal Edit

Sannse, I'm going to work on redesigning the VP. It was claimed on 9 October 06, but hasn't been worked on. Thanks! Thunderhead 03:32, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

That's great Thunderhead. Thanks for your time -- sannse (talk) 12:13, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Adminship disagreement Edit

Hi again sannse, I decided to ditch IRC, it's just not my night for that I suppose.

I was just letting you know that the Kingdom Hearts Wiki adminship discussion has gotten some disagreement recently. The thread is here, and there's some question as to whether Dreyfus2006 should be sysopped. Could you hold off on the sysopping until we come to some sort of agreement or standstill? Any insight might be helpful as well, we don't seem to be on the same page as to the role of an admin. Scottch 13:58, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

OK, I've replied there Scottch -- sannse (talk) 15:16, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

thanks Edit

Thanks for reverting the vandalism! Brain40 [talk] [my domain] 12:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

No, problem -- sannse (talk) 17:52, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

World WikiaEdit

World Wikia is facing a large scale vandalism. Please do something if you are free.

I also wish you a very Happy New Year.

Bhadani --Bhadani 17:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

That looks like the lot, all's well again :) -- sannse (talk) 17:52, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Thanks to both of you. Some people do crazy things like wasting time on vandalizing the pages. --Bhadani 17:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Done, but you can just tag any pages like that with {{delete}} and an admin will clear up :) thanks -- sannse (talk)
You're welcome. (I hope they don't come to the gun wiki...) Brain40 [talk] [my domain] 13:28, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
