It's me from Omori Wiki! I know this is a big thing to ask for but I'd like to ask for admin rights to the wiki. I am in love with this game and would like to help as much as I can. I know this game probably needs more content to be added before deciding to assign anybody rights but I really do want to help and support this one. The only reason why I haven't edited in a while is because well, nothing's really happened with Omori right now but I'm ready to add information whenever it comes up!
You don't need to take any action now if you're not willing to yet, but please consider!
No worries! We have a lot of people adopt Wikias before there's actually a whole lot of information available for them. Feel free to submit an application right here: http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Adoption
If there's any issues, or you think it's taking too long, feel free to ping me about it and I'll hit up our ComSup team about it.
Was gonna follow up with ya about the adminship, but I checked the wiki and it looks like you're good to go! Feel free to hit me up in the future with any questions or if you need any help with anything.
(The link to your talk page was broken, I'm guessing because Message Walls are the standard for most wikis. (We did a Consensus thread, and the consensus was that the community wanted talk pages ... so we're stuck with them until the community wants Message Walls). But anyways, the questions that I would like answered. (There's probably a lot more) are:
1. Are there any plans to introduce some of the guilds that existed around this time, that haven't been seen before in the games? For example, there's a Brewer's Guild listed in the Guilds Act, and a Ratcatcher's Guild. Are there any plans to have these guilds appear in future expansions? (I know the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild are going to appear at some point in the future).
2. A lot of people have been asking for this one ... Daedric Artifacts - are there any plans to introduce these as useable items somehow? Wabbajack and Fork of Horripilation appear for a short while in the Mages Guild Quest line, but are there plans for more of those?
3. Where are the future region expansions looking at going into? Are there plans to eventually let players go to, say, Vvardenfell, or the rest of Argonia, for example.
4. Mounts - are there any plans on having a cheaper version on a mount - or even other variations of mounts, in the future? (Example - "Pony Guar" appear practically everywhere, maybe they can be purchased and able to be rode upon for a few hundred gold, but can't be upgraded). That would make a lot of fans happy.
5. Player-made Guilds: Are there plans to make it easier for folks to find and join the guilds? Currently, there aren't any options to request to join the guild, only option is to recieve a request.
(That's all that I can think of off the top of my head).
Another one I just remembered from earlier - with regards to the books - is there any sort of basis for the books that appear on bookshelves? I.e. wil books about certain regions appear more often in those regions? Or is it completely random?
And one that doesn't have to do with the game - where exactly *IS* Gwylim? (The University of Gwylim is mentioned in several books in the series, and in a fair few new books from this game as well).
Actually, I forgot the most important one that I would like answered.
(And its one that affects me personally).
Why are the maintenances (scheduled or not) always on at the same time? The North American megaserver is the default one for everyone to use, so those who live neither in America or in Europe will use it by default. We then get penalised, as the majority of the time in which we can play is down for maintance.
For example, Ethan (my son) just went to sleep. It is now 8 am US time (10pm here). I now miss out on playing tonight. Is there some reason why they cant stagger it? Start maintance sometimes at 11 am or midday? That would mean that everyone who lives in Australia or in the Asia-Pacific region would be able to play with the characters they had devoted so much time to.
(Changing the day doesnt change the fact that its when my son goes to sleep, and I can play, or when i (and a lot of others like me) go to sleep. Theres a significant portion of Australians on the NA server, judging by the zone chats).
... Um, yeah. Sorry about that. Like I said though - its a question that affects me personally. I want to play the game, and am willing to pay the subscription for it and all, but we're being penalised based on where we live.
Hi! It's Gp75motrsports from Gran Turismo Wiki. You asked me a couple of day ago whether we woul like to participate in a Guided Tour centered around racing games. I left you a reply, but since you haven't gotten back to me on it I figured I'd move the discussion to somewhere that's hopefull more visible to you.
Yes, we would like to participate in the Guided Tour. We feel it's a great way to get people interested in different genres of games.
Well, by "we" I'm assuming he's behind it as well. He has a huge enthusiasm for motorsport in general, and he's always behind anything that gets the wiki more views. I've just asked him as well as TheDanishJGTCFanNerd (another admin) over email if they'd like to participate and should be hearing back from both of them soon. If neither of them volunteer I'll just go ahead and write my bit and volunteer that for the article (assuming that's possible).
Quick question Greg, is MTracey1 still up for participating in the Guided Tour? We're trying have the article live on Friday so if he could have his submission into me sometime before then that would be great. No worries if it's rough, I'm happy to edit it or whatnot.
No worries about the other entries, if the two users are really interested in participating I could try adding them next week after it goes live today, but in this case we usually have one of the Wikia ComDev game team members write a piece for it. I'm super into racing games so I'll probablly cook one up for this. But yeah, I wouldn't worry about it unless the other two users you're contacting are super excited to participate.
Hi, there's a wiki site called Vampire Diaries Novels Wiki (click link to see it: http://thevampirediariesnovels.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Tyler_Gracyne), the Founder of this wiki hasn't been doing much editing and I believe there should be more than one wiki Admin on the site and I want to be an Administrator on the Vampire Diaries Novels Wiki in order to help it grow to become a bigger, central TVD Novels Wiki if it wont eat too much of your time, they told me wiki staff was to be notified about these kind of things.
