Ah yes, your wiki report was left unchecked, our apologies. However, the VSTF only closes wikis that are undeniably advertisement spam, which is not the case for the wiki you reported. The social nature of the issues reported, as well as it perceived breach of the ToU, place it under Fandom staff jurisdiction to decide whether or not to take action.
Any edits made by the VSTF (and the majority of other Fandom users) are done in good faith and to help out. If it turns out that we have undone something that shouldn't have been undone, the local community can just easily undo the edit made to restore the page to its preferred version. I apologise if I mistakenly reverted something that I perceived to be vandalism but wasn't according to local rules. Since we cannot be knowledgeable about every wiki's topic, that sometimes happens, so feel free to just undo my edits, no harm done.
Some fat dutch girl with a mustache named "Lady Lostris" vandalized our wiki. We are working on getting her banned, but then she just uses a different account with a different ip. We so not tolerate chronic stupidity, and trash like this person need to be taken out of society, one way or another. Just kidding, the title was a joke, if you didn't already catch that lolololol. David in Victor.
thank you so much for the ban of this Vandal. He appeared several times in the past, under different accounts with super-disgusting imagery. But there is a small problem that unintentionally happened due the deletion. His most recent threads under "Kaneki1195" are having two Message Threads i can't even access (I think those need to be undeleted so i can delete them myself)
When you go to the deleted contributions of the vandal in question, you can see the content of the messages that were deleted. You can restore them there, though I'm a bit unsure as to why you'd want to, given their content.
I think this guy (He is PizzaCat) can never be stopped... I'm losing hope... He literally made twowikis just to harass me and my friends! DO SOMETHING MORE THAN BLOCKING HIM, OR HE'LL JUST COME BACK WITH ANOTHER ACCOUNT BECAUSE HE CAN CHANGE HIS IP!
Hi there, we're aware of the problem, which is why the team has been tinkering with the AbuseFilters. However, since they're constantly changing their IP, it's difficult to take real preventive action. The best to do is just to revert and ignore, they're really not worth your time getting worked up about. So even if they do get to you again, vandalise a page or leave a disrespectful comment somewhere, just continue your normal business and act like they're not there (save for blocking them and undoing the vandalism of course). Don't bother with leaving "blocked forever" notices on their profiles or things like that, such kind of attention is just what they're after. At the end of the day, they're just a bored and unimportant troll, and we all know you shouldn't feed those ;-) That said, don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance cleaning up the vandalism and such.
I apologise if I minimalised the impact the troll has on your community, but what I just meant to emphasise was that they are unimportant in the fact that they cannot touch you unless you let them. It is more than annoying to constantly having to deal with that, I can understand that, especially if they stoop so low as to create fake images, but those too can and should be just deleted and ignored. If the troll doesn't get a rise out of you, then what's the appeal for them to continue? I know this is a very irritating situation and will not die down overnight, but since there isn't much preventive action that we can take beyond the AbuseFilters, try to just give it a place and ignore it the best as possible.
I don't know personally how to restrore older pages, but the entry for Games Dean is a disaster to say the least. The last non-vandalized version of the page was on October 16, 2019. The article for Ted Wongis also frequently vandalized by multiple users under variations of the name "Big Chungus". Cast and Crew list is also a mess, as well as fake pages like Diabetes, Masite, and /Harvey Weinstein. The admin of the VGHS fandom hasn't been active since 2016. The whole VGHS wiki just needs a thourough cleaning and then lock down.
I see go to edit then go to history then if you don't see undo next to the users that vandalized edits then became a user to undo the vandalism made by previous Vandal's.
And okay? As much as i'll help out i'll undo the vandalism made up to the reversions before your admin went inactive i will. And if you need to try contacting your admin on here to get ahold of the user if you can't then i'll adopt the community for adoption to became anew admin to help with the community fandom okay?
That is "IF" there's no other admin available on there alright?.
I think I cleaned up most of the vandalism edits by restoring the pages to the version of the beginning of October as well as delete unrelated images. However, I m not knowledgeable in the wiki's subject, so I don't know if there are any factual inaccuracies that I accidentally restored by resetting the pages to a previous version.
A lockdown of the wiki will not happen, since that goes against Fandom's collaborative nature. Everyone is and should always be free to make constructive edits. If you do have knowledge about the wiki's topic, perhaps you can look into adopting the wiki once you met the requirements.
Just for future references, it is better to report problems like this on the VSTF Wiki so the entire team can notice this and take action if needed, as opposed to hoping the VSTF'er you reported this issue to is online and/or has the time to immediately take action. Anyway, thank you for noticing this and reporting the issue!
Hi there, I saw that you recently deleted all of the vandalism pages from the facade.fandom.com, and I wanted to know if there was a way you could temporarily restore them, as I would like to create an archive of the wiki's history on a site such as the wayback machine. To clarify, I do not want you to restore the pages onto the wiki, as they are clearly vandalism, rather I would like to be given the source text, have them temporarily restored, etc. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. I hope to see your response.
