I don't know personally how to restrore older pages, but the entry for Games Dean is a disaster to say the least. The last non-vandalized version of the page was on October 16, 2019. The article for Ted Wongis also frequently vandalized by multiple users under variations of the name "Big Chungus". Cast and Crew list is also a mess, as well as fake pages like Diabetes, Masite, and /Harvey Weinstein. The admin of the VGHS fandom hasn't been active since 2016. The whole VGHS wiki just needs a thourough cleaning and then lock down.
I see go to edit then go to history then if you don't see undo next to the users that vandalized edits then became a user to undo the vandalism made by previous Vandal's.
And okay? As much as i'll help out i'll undo the vandalism made up to the reversions before your admin went inactive i will. And if you need to try contacting your admin on here to get ahold of the user if you can't then i'll adopt the community for adoption to became anew admin to help with the community fandom okay?
That is "IF" there's no other admin available on there alright?.
I think I cleaned up most of the vandalism edits by restoring the pages to the version of the beginning of October as well as delete unrelated images. However, I m not knowledgeable in the wiki's subject, so I don't know if there are any factual inaccuracies that I accidentally restored by resetting the pages to a previous version.
A lockdown of the wiki will not happen, since that goes against Fandom's collaborative nature. Everyone is and should always be free to make constructive edits. If you do have knowledge about the wiki's topic, perhaps you can look into adopting the wiki once you met the requirements.
Just for future references, it is better to report problems like this on the VSTF Wiki so the entire team can notice this and take action if needed, as opposed to hoping the VSTF'er you reported this issue to is online and/or has the time to immediately take action. Anyway, thank you for noticing this and reporting the issue!
Hi there, I saw that you recently deleted all of the vandalism pages from the facade.fandom.com, and I wanted to know if there was a way you could temporarily restore them, as I would like to create an archive of the wiki's history on a site such as the wayback machine. To clarify, I do not want you to restore the pages onto the wiki, as they are clearly vandalism, rather I would like to be given the source text, have them temporarily restored, etc. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. I hope to see your response.
A user by the name of GeneralGrievousHero4Life17 (a sockpuppet of a globally blocked account GeneralGrievousHero4Life) has been inserting false information across a plethora of wikis, however the Heroes Wiki has an inactive admin and it has been difficult to revert his contributions. Other wikis he has disrupted include the Cartoon Network Wiki, Toonami Wiki, and the Fictional Characters Wiki. He is on his twentieth sockpuppet account to circumvent his global block, and has persisted in being a nuisance.
I was wondering if there was anything that could be done in this situation.
I have been blocked on Minecraft Wiki because my friend spammed on it. When i tried to explain to the admins they said that i was sockpuppeting. This has happened to me before on Agar.io Wiki. I have changed my password to something else to prevent more trouble. Can you help out? Kind Regards, Thebest123123xxx (Profile) (Contact)
If you're asking me if I could unblock you, then I will unfortunately have to disappoint you. As a member of the VSTF we're there to aid local administrators in their fight against vandalism and spam, though by no means do we stand above them or have the authority to overrule any decision they made. I can only advise you to talk to the local administrators of the wiki where you were blocked. You are responsible for your own account and how it's being used, so be mindful to whom you give the password to. If the local administrators do not want to revoke your block, then I am afraid there is not much else you can do.
At first I thought it was just a hiccup or maybe using bold type for a word had something to do with it, but after retyping, waiting 5-10min. then trying on a different thread the same thing happened as well as trying to hit the Mark as Read button. I have no idea of it's just me/got marked for something again, all of that wikia or what, but I couldn't even message on your wall there, so...?
You were wrongfully caught in an abuse filter, but I unblocked you and all should be fine again. If you ever encounter this issue again on the Avatar Wiki, just message me directly on here. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.
