Hey Icier, I hope you don’t mind being my point of call when I need it XD I have messaged staff on what I think should happen, but since they are away for the weekends I hope you have something that can cleanse a bubonic plague or two.
Provided staff are able to see it as evidence as well, could you please delete the problem content from the actual wiki history? Every image, page, down to the letters of one, two, and three garbage accounts, no traces of it must appear anywhere in the history, deleted pages, nowhere.
On the pages there was a particularly unpleasant image but they were doing it along the lines of “I added something controversial, give me some attention” which is absolutely heaving. I personally feel that I deserve a prize for not chundering everywhere. Nothing worse than some rebel mad person out to be shockingly rebellious…
Rather than have these junk accounts remain as globally blocked can you also change their display images to love hearts, and their names changed to “I love Yaoi”, “Yaoi is my life” and “I only go to sleep to dream of Yaoi”.
Vandalism has been reverted/deleted now. The accounts blocked as well. If there is something I missed, please let me know.
As far as deleting the edits from history, there is no way easy tool that does that currently. Staff have access to revision delete and suppress revision, but they don't use it on request typically. If you already sent the Special:Contact, it's worth seeing what they say if you already asked.
All the bad images are deleted at least. They appeal in Special:Log/delete and I'm not sure if that's a problem. Technically, as an admin you can "delete history edits" but it's not recommended to do so. It requires deleting and then undeleting the revisions you want to restore. It comes at a cost of "view X deleted edits" in page history every time you access it.
Lastly, I can't rename accounts nor am I able to change their avatar images :( It's often best to just ignore them and not worry about it. Trolls are everywhere and at some point every wiki has to deal with them. Good news wise, everything should be reverted and other than history, nothing should be left!
Thank you, as for removing edits/uploads from the history and special delete, the bat excrement insanity about Joseph Goebbels was absurd, some nutjob ramblings about feminists that was funny. Nazi content may not get comfortable not even in the deleted log. Did you see the other images? Those are definitely not appearing in Special:Log/delete at all for someone to come across later. It is not a case of staff not using this revision delete and suppress thing on request, those images are being scrubbed from the wiki utterly, plain and simple.
Personally don’t think it would hurt for you to gain the ability rename accounts, and change display images! In fact that would be handy since there is also an account somewhere that whilst globally blocked still has the problem name on full display XD
Na, worrying about it, ignoring it, no the only answer is that those little rascals must be disciplined. At any rate if the accounts are there to stay I must insist to staff on name and image changes. I like my ideas though always open to suggestions. Besides, those aren’t those people’s accounts now, they are ours and we can do what we see fit with them. Cleansing something putrid and making it fair, we can be saviours for these sinkhole accounts yet! Ha,
Still thank you for seeing to this, I’ll just wait for the special contact thing since I had some questions there and must be getting the best outcome for the content being fully removed, and some delightful name changes as well, too!
Hello Icy, How are you? Can I have a minute of your attention? Well, I know that the Forum tool has been removed a long time ago. I was wondering if you have the possibility of me getting a clean wiki or even used with this function. Is there such a possibility?
I don't have the ability to enable Special:Forum. :( As far as old wikis still using this feature, I think nearly all wikis have been converted to discussions by this point. Aside from some higher activity wikis with admins who are protesting it.
You can definitely Special:Contact/general and ask about any wikis still using forums but they may not know the answer and say "all wikis will be converted to discussions."
This is a difficult point, the Forum is really such an effective tool for the wiki's of debate. And I wanted to start one with a lot of people who are asking me about this. I'm already trying to see some way to replace the discussion, but sincerely an old wiki with the forum would be better (but unfortunately it has no way). Since we have a great desktop feature for who creates the topic. :/
Anyway, thanks for the reply, I will learn the maximum CSS so I try to do something productive for my wiki.

I Appreciate the advice. But I am currently having a problem, with this, I have already configured a good part of it, but I added a test topic, and I can not comment, would you know why? You can see the topic here.
Well, the commenting part isn't exactly the same as here. Wiki-style forums replicates the classic version, where users edit the page as they would an article, leave a comment, and sign it with "~~~~". There is no comment or reply box like there is on CC.
I edited the page you linked and left a comment, to show you how it works
thanks for cleaning up the spam posts on the Magic Arena Wiki. Very much appreciated! :)
As it happens we had several posts similar in style and also linking to gamersdecide.com on the Magic: The Gathering Wiki too. At that time were not quite sure if those were spam or new users trying to find their way around.
Thought I'd bring that to your attention -- in case it's some kind of spam "campaign". Mentioned posts happened on March 2, 2019 by user Rittsy24 and on March 4, 2019 by user MTGAuthor.
I'll leave everything unchanged until I'll hear back from you. Of course, in case you need more info from me, keep me posted, please! :)
Hi Icier, through investigation some of my fellow staff members on the TTTE Wikia have found that the user "Wattsj528" is also a known sock on Wikipedia itself. Fandom was able to place an ip block on our wiki but they appear to be returning.
Also, there's been a user vandalizing several wikis, named DrMan456, as last seen. I first saw this guy on the Adventure Time Wiki and followed him... You guys blocked him but, he created some vandal-wikis to test his "vandal-powers" on, including one with which he tests out how to vandalize our poor AT wiki... You'll see what I mean if you go look at this person's profile and see his recent wiki list. Is there any way you or the Staff can delete those? They're utter nonsense and total vandalism. They shouldn't exist.
The MessageWall notification system isn't working right, right now. It keeps telling me that I have a new reply on this thread, but it doesn't go away when I read it like it always has before... I don't even know how long this will be an issue so I don't want to open up a Staff contact email just for this...
Yes, those wikis have been reported to Fandom staff already. They are awaiting deletion. :)
The notification issue is likely due to a thread being deleted off your wall somewhere. If there was a message wall thread on your wall that was deleted (before you read it) then it causes what you are experiencing to happen where you can't get away from the notification.
The only way I know to fix it, is to "mark all as read" but that removes all notifications from your inbox. :(
Well, that issue started happening before I deleted that test thread, which is which why I even did it in the first place. How do you "mark all as read?" I've never seen any feature like that in the message system here, just on my email client.
Thanks, but I guess that isn't showing up on my browser/OS combination (Firefox in Ubuntu Linux), for some strange reason. Oh! I think I see what's going on! I've been not seeing that the new messages are categorized under the other wikis' names. Thus, I couldn't recognize them. Hah! Nevermind I guess?
Hey thanks for your help and attention! (Like I said though, I still don't see that "mark all as read" button like I did before.)
