I'd like to request that Dragonball Updates Wikia be shut down. (https://dragonballupdates.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page). It is is no longer in use, the admins have long-since been absent, and its only current use is as battle grounds for edit wars where there are many complaints about user(s) stealing and posting copyrighted content (especially artwork) without the pior knowledge or consent of the original artist and without giving due credit. Artists (many from DeviantART.com) have tried to delete their artwork being used without their consent and made appeals to the absentee admins/staff, and to site rules for appropriate conduct but unfortunately now it has turned into the offending party spamming plagiarized material in user talk pages and the comments section, in addition to simply undoing or re-uploading Copyright images. Since the problem is spread across dozens of pages on the wikia and among several users, and since the wikia is not being used otherwise by other active community members, I recommend putting an end to the theft and warring by deleting or closing down the wikia. Thanks for your consideration and any help or recommendations you can provide in advance.
EDIT: corrected several typos
HeavensAria - it's more an either/or situation. A closed down wiki means no activity takes place, no admin is needed there.
If you take the admin path there's no need for the wiki to be closed, but it'll take quite a bit of hard work and a very firm hand - by the look of it you'll need to bang a number of heads to get things settled productively.
Yes, I understand that. I chose both paths in case one or the other option falls through. Or, to take whatever option comes to me given which ever request is processed first. I dont mind either way. If its too much to handle as administrator then I'll request the page is shut down, as needed.
Hi there I'm Jesse220, and I've been blocked on the Villians wiki by this user B1bl1kal on April 12, 2017 (Over 2 years ago) for intimidating behaviour/harassment: Whining like a spoiled child & throwing useless tantrums at people while making pathetic demands won't make anything right at all.
I was wondering if you can get me unblocked by any chance, I've changed.
I am very interested on becoming a member of the Wiki Mananger program for the ES side of Fandom, as I've been noticing that there is a lack of members for Spanish Anime Communities.
I've been a member of Fandom since late 2011, focusing mainly on Anime and Manga ES communities. i have been an admin on this type of communities since 2012, mainly on Bleach, Fairy Tail, Animanga, Nanatsu no Taizai among other communities which I have been delegating throughout the time.
As well, I am an Spanish Design Content Volunteer since 2016, were I have created hundreds of Main Pages, Backgrounds and Logos for the communities. I worked hard for example on creating a new design for Nanatsu no Taizai, creating the logo, background and main page from scratch.
Among other tasks, a lot of users contact me for my knowledge on CSS and wiki-text, and I have been very eager to help.
I have met a lot of users from the Anime and Manga communities that I am constantly in touch wit, to assist them on designs, on administrative tasks. I have worked with this part of the community before, and they have liked my approach on editing and managing communities.
I would like to know if there is a possibility to become a member of the Wiki Managers program for ES communities.
Hey there Kris! I've been referred to you by Brandon regarding this on our chat at Sword Art Online Wikia. I was looking for a little bit more information on the Community Partnership Program and the scope of it, as I believe it may be very beneficial for SAO Wikia.
Brandon mentioned that the program was already integrated into a variety of game wikis, with contact to game developers and publishers (Bandai Namco is the publisher of Sword Art Online, which Fandom even had ad campaigns with them in the past during the SAO: Fatal Bullet release window) and that there were plans to expand this initiative into Anime & Manga (and hopefully Light Novels as well, as that is the source material for SAO).
As I said, I was looking for a little bit more info on the program, before I take the prospect to the admins of SAO Wikia. I believe this can be incredibly beneficial for us, even if it is currently limited to the gaming side of things, so I am really eager to hear more.
