Hi Brandon, both the network and production company considered the offer but declined. On the 14th of July, I sent an email to Channel 4, the British television network that airs Hollyoaks, and was informed on the 31st that the request was being considered. On the 2nd of August, they responded with: "Your messages plus the recent post re potential partnerships with FANDOM have been considered by the relevant teams at the channel and also at Lime Pictures, who make Hollyoaks. It's fantastic that you are providing a Hollyoaks Wiki and we are delighted that you enjoy the show. However, a partnership or other engagement with FANDOM is not something that either the channel or Lime feels able to explore further at this time. Many thanks for your interest in and support for the show."
Hello! Jodie linked me to the (removed) message that you left her a couple of days ago. I've been editing wikis since 2007, so I know a thing or two, which is why she asked me to take a look. :)
I looked at your wiki, and here are a few suggestions for improvement.
I noticed that a lot of pages use the generic Infobox template, which doesn't match the color theme of the wiki. The pages that use it all seem to be characters, so I would recommend editing those pages to use the Infobox character template, which has colors that match the wiki's theme.
It's also a good idea to occasionally check wanted pages to see what pages need to be created. Obviously, the more links to the wanted page, the more important it is to create. You can find a link to Wanted pages by going to the admin dashboard and clicking the Advanced tab.
You may want to consider removing the On This Day section on the main page. It's using a method of trying to embed templates named after whatever the current day of month is, such as Template:15th October. Looking at the list of templates, there are none that match that naming method, so there will always be a broken link on that section of the main page.
Besides that, things look good! Your color theme has a nice contrast, so the pages are easy to read. :)
Thanks. We are currently in the process of converting the character pages to the Infobox character template. Thanks for the advice about the wanted pages - I'll start on that next. I thought I had commented out the "On This Day" section as I was going to do those after the episode pages.
Hi there, I think no hyphen makes the site URL look a bit more professional. I know it's a poor reason but that's how I feel. Anyway thanks for the request, I work on 5 other wikias and had been neglecting this one!
On the page it says my signature as Danielroxheaps (talk) and the box "I want to use wikitext in my signature" is unticked.
Oh, that's strange, as the site is automatically adding the nowiki tags, and the first time I used the tildes it did the same thing. I'm going to test to see if it's just on my end, if you could please let me know if it works for you and just not me please let me know.
