Hi Brady55, hope this finds you well! Our Community Support team handles adoption requests. I'm afraid I can't really help here in any way. But, if you haven't already, please be sure to send them a message, so they can help you:
Hello, Michael, how are you? I am FrenchTouch, an administrator of a couple of wikis and I have a little question that I hope isn't uncalled for.
I know that Wikia generally partakes in a lot of events, for example, if I recall well, some members represented Wikia at ComicCon 2015, and, in that regard, I would like to know if there have been plans for PAX East 2016. Allow me to explain: One of the wikis I am a part of is the Outlast Wiki, and yesterday, a teaser trailer for the latest game in the psychological horror franchise - Outlast II - has been released.
In this trailer, a voice refers to a certain date: April 22nd, 2016, which is the exact date for PAX East 2016, and I wondered, if Wikia will be represented at PAX East 2016, is there a chance to have an interview with a Red Barrels (the developers) representative, or would it be just to visit? And actually, is this event going to be covered, at all? I know there is an office in NYC, but I simply wondered.
With that said, sorry for the possible inconvenience, thanks for your time, and good luck for the future, Best regards, FrenchTouch (talk).
We will be covering PAX East! I don't know if anyone from the Wikia team will interview Red Barrels (often times those things are scheduled last minute), but we will be there and will be covering as many of the big and exciting announcements as we can.
Thank you for the information, that is quite awesome—I hope you have the chance to be able to do that, (but as you said, sometimes scheduling gets crazy) though I appreciate that the event will be covered, at least, that leaves us an opportunity to get a little more information about their latest work. It will also be very beneficial to other video game communities on Wikia.
Sadly, my physical condition does not allow me to go anywhere else than the region in which I live, much less fly through an ocean, even though all the deities I've ever heard of know that I would love to go there - that is also the reason why I had to refuse my invitation to Community Connect Europe 2016 - though, I promise that whenever I do better, I'll do my best to represent Wikia at conventions.
Speaking of which, I currently have a project that I like to keep toned down as long as I don't know the exact details of it, but I'm planning to enter the 68th Nice Jazz Festival, in order to repersent the musical “fandom,” and I simply wondered, what do you think of this idea? Also, given my very privileged geographical position, in the upcoming months, I will probably do something for the History and World War II Wiki. (the military city of Toulon, Operation Dragoon...)
I think you could consider this my thanks for what Wikia's done for me so far. Anyway, thank you for your time, and have a good day.
Post Scriptum: If there is anything that's planned in a, let's say, 200km radius around Nice, France, even if highly improbable, you can count on me to come.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Also, I have checked the events' planning again, and there may be a possibility to attend one cultural event—after all, we shouldn't let events like these put us down.
Hello,I am another wiki user called ADgee. You may know that Freegee reported someone called 'The Regisaurus of karro'.He is innocent, not even proofs can make me change my mind.We have so much fun together and I want him back. Please, forgive him.
Please submit this to Staff via Special:Contact. Remember, they won't do sock-checking without a legitimate reason. You'll need to explain why they need to be checked, and link the accounts that you think are the same person.
Tupka's right -- Special:Contact is always the way to go. The ComSup team can help you with whatever you need, as I mentioned in my previous reply to your other post. Just go straight to them for help!
I need help with my Wikis Front Page Background Design my wiki is http://starburst.wikia.com/wiki/Starburst_Wikia its about the candy Starburst.. If you could tell me how to do a photo from the Internet that'd be great because I want a photo of the candy starburst. I don't assume you could do it.
I know it doesn't happen for another few days, but could you give me some links to the videos for community connect as well as the sessions after they are psoted (I found the wiki for it, only because of it being a favorite wiki of yours, perhaps post about it on wikia live)
I also thinking as a side thing Wikia should do a video tour of their office that covers the whole office and "fananttonates" certain areas of the office etc (an expansive video tour). I am really looking forward to community connect and really do hope this can be done by webinar next year (problem is many have academics or work and so its hard to do it all live on wikia's work hours)
Thanks for checking in! It's going to take some time to edit the videos for the sessions we're recording, but any videos and notes we have will be made public and announced in my post-event wrap up blog, which will be posted at some point soon.
And thanks for the idea of a fannotated video! I'll take that idea to the team.
Hi Superdadsuper, as I mentioned, it's going to take some time to edit the videos. Once we get the recorded sessions edited and ready, I will announce it in a blog here on Community Central. It's probably going to be a couple of weeks, at least. Thanks for your patience!
