Hi, I'm VP of TV, Movies, and Anime at Fandom. I'll always try to reply to messages on my wall, but if you're in need of a speedy reply please check out some of these useful links for staff help! Report Spam • Report Vandalism • Contact Fandom Support
Love Robin, it would appear that they are asking to close the wiki, so it's not accurate to say that they have the ability to delete it. Especially so given that they linked to Discussions, which is not deletable.
Aljameir, you can request to delete your wiki here.
I've already sent a ticket (#898696) to FANDOM about this, but I am being stalked and harassed by a user who, with multiple accounts, has promised to not stop until I leave my position on the Thomas the Tank Engine Wiki. He is also threatening to get me globally blocked under false pretenses. I'm only reaching out to you in addition to my ticket to see if there is a more immediate solution to what is going on. I've attached images of him promising to harass me continuously.
Hi TWRAddictYT. In these cases, it's always best to reach out to your Wiki Manager. In this case, that's Spongebob456. I've sent him this message to let him know about the issue so he can work with you on it.
In the meantime, my very strong advice for you would be to stop engaging with this person on Twitter. If they DM you on Twitter, block them on Twitter. Replying to them is giving them the attention they are looking for and making it more likely they will continue to target you on Fandom.
That doesn't resolve the issue on Fandom, of course, but Chris will be in touch with you about that.
Question: So I had a block removed during my request process and the responding person thought that I was ineligible for adoption even though it was lifted during the review process, could you add your input on the subject.
Hi sorry for asking too many questions at once, but does COPPA apply to American Samoa, and is the age limit 16 or 13, in the mainland United States it is 13, also dose the Copyright rules on Wikia, still apply to Amarican Samoa or is it Amarican Samoan laws
Hey Naoero. You could post a blog here on Community Central asking if people would be interested in joining your wiki. If there are other similar websites to your wiki's topic, like a message board or social media group, you could consider posting it there too—as long as their rules allow it, and it isn't a spam post.
Beyond that, there are unfortunately not a great number of ways to advertise wikis right now. But we are working on a major new project that will help connect wikis together and make it easier to find them. So while it'll be awhile until that's really up and running, this is something we're working to improve.
Like Fandom, Wikipedia is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike license. That means you have to attribute whatever you use to the authors of the page you're using content from.
Using content from Wikipedia is not a good idea from a SEO perspective (SEO being how well your content ranks on search engines like Google). Google penalizes duplicate content, so if you have content that's the same as Wikipedia, your wiki is unlikely to rank well in search results.
