Welcome to Central Wikia, Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyitan!
We're a friendly community here; most of us are active on an individual wiki, and many of us are active on more than one.
If you're looking for help, a help wiki can be found here, and you're welcome to ask the community questions on the Community Central Forum. If you need assistance from a staff member, you can contact the Community Team using Special:Contact.
You can get live help from community members and staff in our IRC channel. There are also channels for larger Wikia and their communities. Here you can socialize and get to know your community!
Finally, please keep an eye on the recent changes to see what the community is up to here.
If you didn't catch it on my talk page, here you go:
Alright, I'll give you a quick run down of why I blocked you (for three days, so it wasn't even the full amount of time that our policy states that I should block you for).
First, you were gathering badges. Anybody who knows how many edits you've made to the main namespace of the wiki prior to the badges being reactivated would see the sudden influx of edits that have been made by you (many of which have had to be undone because they were either poorly worded or completely speculative) were an attempt to gather badges. I saw on the Wiki Activity page that you added a picture of Sylwanin, then reversed it within two minutes of making the first edit. Either you don't think things through and use the preview button when you're not sure about a particular edit, or you're gather badges. You have been here long enough to notice the preview button, so I'm going to have to say that you were just making an attempt to accumulate more badges for yourself (which will be gone in a week anyways, so there's no point in collecting them). You asked why that's bad, and I'll tell you. We already had badges activated on the wiki for about a month last year in the summer months. You could not tell me with a straight face that the huge amounts of useless edits were not to gather badges, but to improve the quality of the wiki. If you want to read more about the reason on why we took away the badges in the first place, go here.
Second, there is no Sylwanin at this point in time. There is absolutely no proof that the younger Na'vi in that picture is Sylwanin until James Cameron or some other accredited source says so. This argument has been brought up more times than I care to count, and every time it is agreed that the existence of Sylwanin in the film does not have substantial enough proof. In no way are you "informing" people. If anything, you're making misleading statements that are contributing to the misconception that Sylwanin was, in fact, present in the film.
Lastly, I warned you. I warned that if you were to make any more useless edits that you would be blocked from doing so. So what did you do? You continued to make useless edits that made more work for the admins and overall harmed the wiki's integrity as an Avatar encyclopedia. You may not want to agree with me, but the other admins and I agree that your behavior on the wiki was not to be tolerated.
I would not ever say that the wiki is not important to you, since you spend a lot of time and effort to create blogs that help the community come together and discuss topics that everyone can give some insight to. However, you need to be more careful in your edits, how they are formatted, and if the information can be sourced or not. Thus far, apart from blogs, all we've seen from you is a lot of unnecessary edits and completely speculative claims. I'm hoping that you can understand my frustration with such things, as we both care for the wiki equally. Let's just get this little incident behind us and move on to make the wiki a better source for the one thing that brings all of us together despite our differences: Avatar.
Following up! Edit
Hi there Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyitan!
I'm just following up from when you posted in Founder & Admin Central that your wiki could use some editors. How did that work out? Where you able to get more editors? If you could just take a quick second to my out my super short survey, it would be greatly appreciated! Pretty, pretty please??
The news problem on the Adele wiki has been happening on many wikis, including Haircolor wiki, one that is my personal pet project. I think it's just a temporary random thing, but I'll see if there's anything I can do.
