Design flaw in the Top session (global information)[]
"The top part of your profile displays the same information on every wikia you edit." ==> "Anything you enter into the new top section of your profile will appear on every wikia you've edited." ==> So, that global information should be kept consistent everytime we edit our profiles. ==> That global information should be shown for editing, if needed, NOT all blank fields in the Edit form.
- But unexpectedly the Edit form of global information has always been shown with blank fields for no-contribution-yet users.
- => I reported at the forum Thread:735559
- =>This help page says that "You might see a few fields filled out with information we already have about you."
- =>But I still see only blank input fields on the Edit form of my profile's top session at any random wiki that I have no contribution yet.

Wikis you've contributed to[]
How do you add back in a wiki on the list of "Wikis you've contributed to:" if it's been removed?
Skyzy (talk) 19:27, May 12, 2016 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you can't add individual wikis back in after you've removed them. However, there's a button at the bottom left of the editing window that lets you reset your "wikis you've contributed to". That reset is the only way to get a community back that you've previously removed. Hope that helps!

Add a tab to users' profiles[]
Hey, is it possible to add a tab to the users' profiles as a default?
I would like to add a Sandbox
like here.
Is it possible somehow to edit the (supposedly a) template for this???
- It is, if you contact Staff to enable JavaScript on your wiki and then insert the following into your Common.js:
(function() {
var $header = $('#WikiaUserPagesHeader');
if ($header.exists()) {
var title = 'User:' + $header.find('#UserProfileMasthead h1').text() + '/Sandbox';
$header.find('.tabs-container .tabs').append(
$('<li>', { 'data-id': 'sandbox' }).append(
$('<a>', {
href: mw.util.getUrl(title),
title: title,
text: 'Sandbox'
})
)
);
}
})();

- That's awesome. I kind of thought there'd be a template or something for that, I suppose adding it dynamically via Javascript is a good option, too. Timoses (talk) 20:48, January 24, 2018 (UTC)
Inquiry to recommendations[]
I can see that adding links and information to your user page reflects on what topics and pages are of interest to you, but I'm not sure I understand why people are encouraged to add photos to their profiles. Is that to show what kinds of things you (the user adding photos to their profile) like to look at? Do photos lead to general appeal among viewers? Buccaneer Blue (talk)

Profile Picture[]
How do i add my own profile picture?24.209.99.229 12:35, July 12, 2019 (UTC)
- You are an anon, so obviously, you can't upload an avatar. You will need to sign in or register, if you don't have an account already. ~Apple [ Talk • Contribs ] 12:37, July 12, 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) You mean to your userpage or an avatar? If you're talking about an avatar, you'd need to have an account to have an avatar. If you're talking about your userpage, you'd need to upload a picture and add it to your userpage.
Good work[]
I have just reread the help page (having only just become aware of its new name). Very well written and impressive. --- Robin Patterson (Talk) 01:39, January 15, 2020 (UTC)
Was able to edit my bio without the app, but…[]
I think I needed the FANDOM app to edit it again. Dorkfishie (talk) 18:29, June 15, 2020 (UTC)
UPDATE: I downloaded the app and changed my bio, but for some reason, it’s only visible in the app! My regular bio description is STILL the same as the original! Dorkfishie (talk) 18:34, June 15, 2020 (UTC)
UPDATE 2: Never mind, it works now! Dorkfishie (talk) 18:35, June 15, 2020 (UTC)
“This user hasn’t filled out their user page yet.”[]
This is the message that I saw when I went to look at a friend’s user page. The only “about” page I can see is my own. What happened here? Dorkfishie (talk) 03:23, Feburary 19, 2021 (UTC)
