The information here is rather sparse. Perhaps a link to Mediawiki could be added? [1] -- Goblincleaver(Roshambo) (talk) 17:13, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Already exists, see the "see also" section --Uberfuzzy 19:43, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

There seems to be two pages on the same thing; Help:Parser functions and Help talk:ParserFunctions. --boy.pockets (talk | my boom) 05:35, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

This help page is pretty bad[]

It has almost no info and Help:StringFunctions redirects to here, but there is really no useful info. Also, the "See also" section has outlinks that are not identified as such, so they really should be in an "External links" section. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 9 Apr 2011 4:58 PM Pacific

Parsing template input[]

Hello. Is there a way to further parse template input? Like split by commas or list items? I would like to categorize articles by each item in some lists.

| paramter = item 1, item 2

or...

| parameter =
* item 1
* item 2

Thank you in advance. Lady Aleena (talk) 04:06, November 18, 2017 (UTC)

You should consider trying out Help:Lua templating. This allows you to parse all sorts of inputs, including spliting comma separated lists. noreplyz talk 09:03, November 18, 2017 (UTC)

I think #A_better_version_of_the_box_template is inaccurate[]

There's a part where it asks us to remove the parser function: "Let's just say that we will remove the parser function:", then it says that it will show up with a ' symbol and the content of "text"... However I'm getting {{{title}}}} "content of 'text'". 🤷‍♂️ -BowiQC (talk) 14:04, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Fixed that! Sorry about the confusion. (Also discussed in the F/G Discord Server) SuperDragonXD1  talk/wall (cc wall) • contribs • logs  14:58, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
