Version (2)[]

  • I think that current version of GME is not the last one because it is not possible to scroll the map with the mouse...
  • There is also a problem using IE because the paths don't appear. The solution exists and it seems that its implementation is very simple. Have a look here for more details.
  • Can someone make the change?

Version?[]

Does anybody know which version number of the GoogleMaps extension we are using on Wikia at the moment, in particular over on [1]? Some of the latest syntax doesn't seem to work here. Bobo12345 13:13, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

After asking on IRC, it seems we're using version 0.5.5. We're going to be upgraded to the latest version soon. Bobo12345 08:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

genealogy demo[]

Robin- we need this extension. EG for Bill's "Dunmore War" segment, we can do stuff like this: <googlemap lat="36.903166" lon="-82.316523" type="satellite" width=600 height=300 zoom=13 controls=small selector=no scale=yes > 36.903166,-82.316523, Moore's Fort 1774 aka Fort Byrd, Daniel Boone commanding 20 men, 6 Oct. 1774

</googlemap> ok, it is actually Russel's fort location, but that article doesn't exist yet. so I couldn't demo the link. ~ Phlox 21:14, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Looks good, for illustrating many historical things of that nature related to families and groups of families. Takes a while to load for some of us; and Bill says he doesn't want such things popping up on his articles; simple solution is to confine these to their own pages where people keen to look (and willing to wait a while if on dialup) can see them.
