Why might they disappear after being installed?Edit

I added about a dozen to Genealogy, told "everybody", and was greatly enjoying using them, then they disappeared. I didn't change any preferences, and they are still on the file where I put them: — Robin Patterson (Talk) 11:23, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

It looks like the {{usedwp}} is doing it - if you see the template is somehow being inserted into the js. I don't think this should be happening, so it's likely a fix on our end. Until then, removing that one may fix it. Kirkburn (talk) @fandom 15:49, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Why doesn't the global.js work for me?Edit

My Central Wikia /global.js has been edited as suggested. Cleared cache. Went to genealogy Wikia and cleared cache there. Still no luck. — Robin Patterson (Talk) 05:30, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Your global js may take a short while to update - is this still a problem? Kirkburn (talk) @fandom 15:39, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
fixed that one too --Uberfuzzy 01:24, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Help needs updating Edit

With the new look I believe the places to store .css and .js files have changed. Can someone update this to point new look users to the right places. Also remove the outdated information or at least warn that it is outdated. AFAICT User/Wikia.* has to be used for things to be noticed. Is this right? Rej Maddog 03:51, March 22, 2011 (UTC)

How to remove the default buttons? Edit

I want to replace the buttons with ones that adapt better to the skin. How do I remove the old buttons? There must be some Wikia changes because the scripts from Wikipedia do not work. Can't you just replace the outdated with your new round design from the visual editor or mw:Extensions:WikiEditor? Matthias (talk) 12:23, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

Getting the Gallery/Slider/Slideshow button to show on wikis with the new image galleries enabledEdit

Does anyone know how the button that brings up the box to add galleries, sliders, and slideshows can be added as a custom button on wikis with new image galleries enabled? ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 03:56, March 31, 2018 (UTC)

It's been resolved. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:39, March 31, 2018 (UTC)

Change to Custom Buttons not AppearingEdit

I updated one of our custom buttons after a recent template overhaul (as seen here), yet more than a week later it still produces the older version of the fields when the button is actually pushed. Any ideas on what I'm missing? Thanks in advance for your time. -- Annabell (talk) 09:05, August 22, 2018 (UTC)

It looks like you haven't submitted the JavaScript change for review. You can do so by clicking on the "Submit for review" button in the sidebar of your MediaWiki:Common.js and waiting for the change to get reviewed by Staff. -- Cube-shaped garbage can 09:10, August 22, 2018 (UTC)
Thank you. Wasn't aware there was an additional step to edit the Common.js, I think I must have only ever edited Common.css before this. -- Annabell (talk) 18:34, August 24, 2018 (UTC)
