About the "Meet the Moderators" section[]

I know that on the right hand side of the page, if there are any Discussion or Content Moderators on the wiki, they will be displayed there. However I've never actually known what happens, if a user happens to be a Discussion Moderator and a Content Moderator. Does one override the other on the page? Like, a user showing up as a Content Moderator, but being a Discussion Moderator as well? Or vice-versa? What exactly happens if a user is in both user-groups? ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:13, November 16, 2016 (UTC)

You could promote an alt of yours to just those two user rights on any one of your wikis and see what happens from there.--Annabeth and Percy~They say you gotta take the good with the bad. I'll take it all as long as I have you. 16:18, November 16, 2016 (UTC)
True. Unfortunately I'm only a bureaucrat on two wikis - I was a bureaucrat on several other wikis but I retired from them - one of the wikis that I'm a bureaucrat on doesn't have the Special:Community Page. I only have one other account, but the wiki that has the Special:Community Page on it, the other account is flagged as a bot since it's a bot account. And I don't really want to create an alternate account at the moment. I could test it on my main account, but the Special:Community page only updates the list of users in user-groups once a day, and I need my admin flags to perform certain tasks, even if I don't revoke my bureaucrat flags. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 19:30, November 16, 2016 (UTC)
Everything explodes in a shower of sparks! Actually, no - I believe it just displays the user once as a member as one of the groups. From some quick checks, it looks like Discussions Moderator takes precedence as the icon shown (likely because the group comes first in the code). So that would mean that the Discussion Moderator icon would show up instead of the Content Moderator one for a user in both user-groups? ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 21:53, November 16, 2016 (UTC)
Aye, that's what I'm seeing. Is that a particular concern? Kirkburn  talk  contr    21:58, November 16, 2016 (UTC)
No, not at all. Just something that got me wondering. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 21:59, November 16, 2016 (UTC)

Available on request[]

Should {{available on request}} be replaced by {{enabled by default}}? And why is this perfectly harmless extension not enabled here? Only for discussions about Special:Community in support forums or a wikilink on Help:Community Page, of course it would be not really useful here. –Dunnoob 💩 21:05, November 22, 2017 (UTC)

If Community Page was enabled on Community Central it would list completely irrelevant data to all users of it (literally no new user needs the wanted pages/short pages listing because they can't even edit articles, and experienced users know that Special:Specialpages are far more useful for maintenance reports) and add a cluttering module as well. Community Page is not enabled by default, go see a new wiki and you'll see newest wikis don't have it enabled. -- Cube-shaped garbage can 21:10, November 22, 2017 (UTC)
Interesting, maybe there is another way to get this feature. I'd be surprised if somebody requested it on w:c:freeciv:Special:Community, it's technically an almost pure vintage 2005 wiki. –Dunnoob 💩 03:09, November 23, 2017 (UTC)
It's true, in-fact I'm surprised you weren't already aware that newer wikis don't have it enabled. Not that there's a problem with not knowing, mind you. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:59, November 23, 2017 (UTC)
The feature was also initially enabled upon launch on top 1000 WAM wikis, so your wiki might've been in those 1000. -- Cube-shaped garbage can 10:00, November 23, 2017 (UTC)
Feature test: [[{{#ifexist:Special:Community|Special:Community|Help:Special pages{{!}}Special:Community}}]] yields Special:Community here, but on Wikis with the special page it works as expected. –Dunnoob 💩 22:43, November 24, 2017 (UTC)
