Notifications are message bubbles that alert you to new messages or activity on your wiki. They help in keeping you informed of the latest events and activities on your wiki and account.

Step-by-Step

• You will automatically receive a notification if the following action takes place:
  • Message on your talk page
  • An admin updates the Community Corner
  • You receive an achievement badge
  • Messages from Wikia Staff
• The notifications appear at the bottom of the page:

Characteristics

Message on this wiki	User talk page	Remains until visited or dismissed
Messages on another wiki, or multiple wikis	Wiki names link to user talk page on that wiki	Remains until visited or dismissed
Updated Community Corner	Community Corner on Wiki Activity	Can be dismissed or disappears 24 hours after edit to Community Corner
New achievement badge	User profile page	Can be dismissed or disappears after one page load
Message from Wikia Staff	N/A	Can be dismissed

Notification bubble colors are the same as buttons colors, and can be changed by admins in the Theme Designer.
