- Note: As of May 2025, the accounts do not have an Edit Reviewer profile tag. This problem has been ticketed, and we should see the fix up within the next month.

One of the Edit Review accounts
Edit Review accounts are third-party contractors who assist Fandom in moderating flagged edits across wikis.
Fandom hosts a large network of wikis and serves a global community of fans. To support this scale, we aim to maintain consistent content standards that align with our Terms of Use and other policies as well as help keep communities respectful and welcoming. We work with this third-party team to support these goals and help ensure a safe experience for all fans.
Flagged Edits[]
Our internal system raises a flag if any edit is made on a wiki that might be considered harmful. These flags are given to the Edit Review team to look at and decide if the flag is a false positive or if the edit is truly harmful.
Harmful edits may include (but are not limited to):
- One-off vandalism (blanking a page, random nonsense, etc.)
- Hate speech or slurs, especially anything from the Offensive Terms Policy
- Sexual content
- Other worrying text (threats of violence, etc.)
Reviewers are instructed to assess the edit in context. If deemed harmful, they may revert, rollback, or censor the content.
Accuracy and Feedback[]
This contractor team is fallible and may make mistakes. We provide them with ongoing training to improve their understanding of wikis, editing norms, and context across different topics.
If you believe an Edit Review account has made an inappropriate or incorrect edit, please let us know by contacting Support.
