Reading this topic "Disabling upload for non-autoconfirmed", and seeing it on a wiki, I wanted to know how it works. I am wondering if it would be useful for my wiki, as I want Users to view the image policy before they upload. -- Bunai82 ^(talk) 03:17, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

A user becomes autoconfirmed after a certain amount of edits or after a certain period of time, so you can tell them apart from one-time passerbys. See wikipedia:WP:Autoconfirmed. —Airhogs777 • W • C • B • WS 03:23, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

It's all automatic. You have to be autoconfirmed to do certain things, like move pages or edit semi-protected pages. —Airhogs777 • W • C • B • WS 03:30, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
