Following Forum:Timeline template/tool, I need to use smaller units than years on my timeline but trying to do so give me the error

EasyTimeline 1.9

Timeline generation failed: 1 error found

Line 15: ScaleMinor = unit:month increment:1 start:1458 gridcolor:grid2
- Conflicting settings.
Preset defines 'unit:year'.

Another issue is that I'd like to have the elements have length ; a horizontal empty rectangle linking its bar on the left until the ensuing limit on its right which could contain the related text.
eg: Test 1a would go from jan 58 to aug 58, Test 1b from jan 59 to mar 59, Test 1c from may 59 to aug 59, ... DynV 00:41, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

I found EasyTimeline syntax and after tweaking with different settings, the month error remained. I have a good idea how to get "a horizontal empty rectangle" using PlotData but the most important part is to enable months ; I found that I need to have dates starting at 1800 for that so I'll have to use a translation (geometry).
