Is there a way to get the files of wikia which you can upload then install it to my site? I wish there was, it would be better then a subdomain (to me)

- There are tons of free image hosting sites, why would you want to post it on wikia for the purpose of dropping it at your own site? http://bit.ly/oV591g
- I'm asking if there is a zip file of wikia so I can have my wiki on my site on my host - Teratorn99 16:50, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
- You can request a database dump in Special:Statistics, but it doesn't contain files. If I recall correctly there was an alternative, user-created script that allowed you to download files as well, but I can't remember who wrote it or where to find it. — Sovq 17:00, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
- There is a way, use this: http://absurdopedia net/wiki/%D0%A3%D1%87%D0%B0%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BA:Edward_Chernenko/MediaWikiDumper
- Ah... Looks like wikia has... How should I say this... Made changes so we cannot link to this tool. So let's see how many tries I will need to get the link here...
