How do you create one of those templates that will be at the top of every single page, and have a "dismiss" button on the side of it? Is it a kind of template? Wikipedia has these, and some other wikis have it too. I would like to create some. Thanks. Swannie 20:00, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know how to rig the "dismiss" button, but what you're thinking isn't actually a template, it's a site interface feature. If you are an admin on a wiki, you can edit MediaWiki:Sitenotice at your wiki to have it say something at the top of each page. I believe you can even have a separate message for unregistered readers and registered editors. I also think that the "dismiss" button is automatic.
