Hi all,

we'll be enabling URL whitelists soon on all Wikia. Right now all external links are tagged with rel="nofollow" - this is part of our antispam policy. We plan to give our sysops more power over this, so that you can choose which sites should be tagged with nofollow, and which shouldn't. We'd like you to prepare a list of domains which are notable for the topic your wiki covers, so that you'll be able to add them to the whitelist. These URLs won't be tagged with rel="nofollow", therefore helping their Google PageRank. Everybody wins!

We'll notify you again when this feature will get fully rolled out. Datrio 12:09, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Will the whitelist work with domains /regexp, or would we have to list individual external links if multiple ones are under the same domain? -Afker 15:36, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
It'll work just like the blacklist. The whitelist allows regexp. Datrio 08:37, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
